It was subsequently renamed as Rashtrapati Road after India attained independence. Locals claim that initially the width of road was with wide pavement on both the sides. Rani Gunj
Ranigunj is a major and a very busy locality in Secunderabad, India. Mahatma Gandhi Road (previously known as James Street) is the major thoroughfare in this locality. Various heritage structures such as James Street Police Station, Parsi Fire Temple, Saidani Ma Tomb etc. are located here. ''Ranigunj'' derives its name after Victoria Grain Market or Queen's Market. An arch at the entry to market still stands. The arch was the gateway to the market and was built in 1877 to commemorate the Queen Victoria's Delhi Durbar of 1877. Tank Bund Road
The Tank Bund Road is a road in Secunderabad, Hyderabad, India. The Tank Bund dams Hussain Sagar lake on the eastern side and connects the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. It has become an attraction with 33 statues of famous people from the region. The Pakistan Patton tank, now an attraction for visitors to the Tank Bund Road, is a war trophy given to the 54th Infantry Division, and is one that the Indian Army had disabled during the Battle of Basantar in Pakistan, between 15 and 17 December 1971.
