Rascal Flatts
Rascal Flatts is an American Country music, country music band formed in 1999 in Nashville, Tennessee. The band consists of Gary LeVox (lead vocals), Jay DeMarcus (bass guitar, background vocals), and Joe Don Rooney (lead guitar, background vocals). DeMarcus is LeVox's second cousin, a brother-in-law of country music singer James Otto, and was previously a member of the contemporary Christian music duo East to West. LeVox and DeMarcus are natives of Columbus, Ohio. From 2000 to 2010, the band recorded for Disney Music Group's former Lyric Street Records division. While on that label, it released six studio albums, all of which were RIAA certification, certified platinum or higher by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Jay DeMarcus
Jay DeMarcus (born Stanley Wayne DeMarcus Jr.; on April 26, 1971) is an American musician, vocalist, record producer and songwriter. He is a member of the country music band Rascal Flatts. Early life DeMarcus was born in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from the Tree of Life Christian Schools and Fort Hayes Metropolitan Education Center in Columbus while living with his mother and sister. He also has a half-sister from his father's side of the family. DeMarcus attended Lee College in Cleveland, Tennessee, from 1990 to 1992. At the time, he traveled and performed as a keyboard player in the Christian music group New Harvest, led by Danny Murray. Career DeMarcus co-founded the contemporary Christian music group East to West and moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in 1993. ''Melt'' is the second studio album by American country music group Rascal Flatts. It was released on October 29, 2002, by Lyric Street Records and sold 3,073,000 copies in the United States up to May 2009. The album’s first single "These Days" was the group's first Number One hit on the US ''Billboard'' Hot Country Songs charts. The follow-ups, "Love You Out Loud" and "I Melt", respectively reached number 3 and number 2, while "Mayberry" was also a Number One. ''Changed'' is the eighth studio album by American country music group Rascal Flatts. It is their second studio album released on Big Machine Records, and was released on April 3, 2012. The band released the album's debut single, "Banjo", on January 16, 2012. The album's second single " Come Wake Me Up" released to country radio on May 21, 2012. The album's third single, " Changed", released to country radio on December 17, 2012, AC and Christian AC on January 22, 2013. On June 28, 2013, Rascal Flatts released "Sunrise" as their first official single in the UK. This is the first album from the group to not have a Top 40 hit on the pop chart.
