Raquel Peluci Xavier Camargo da Silva (born 30 April 1978), more commonly known as Raquel, is a Brazilian former volleyball player who played for the Brazil women's national volleyball team at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, where she won a bronze medal. Lyubov Vladimirovna Sokolova ( (Шашко́ва), also known as Lyubov Kılıç and formerly known as Lyubov Shashkova, born 4 December 1977) is a Russian retired volleyball player, Honored Master of Sports of Russia. Lilia Izquierdo Aguirre (born 10 February 1967) is a Cuban retired female volleyball player and three-time Olympian. Izquierdo helped the Cuban women's national volleyball team win gold medals at the Summer Olympics in 1992, 1996, and 2000. The Brazil women's national volleyball team is administered by the ''Confederação Brasileira de Voleibol'' (CBV) and takes part in international volleyball competitions. With a tally of 46 international titles the Brazil women's volleyball national team is one of the most successful national teams of all time. They have won 6 olympic medals including two gold medals, in the 2008 Summer Olympics and in 2012 Summer Olympics. They also hold the record of FIVB World Grand Prix championship titles having won the competition 12 times. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules.
