Andrew Onwubolu , better known by his stage name Rapman, is a British rapper, record producer, screenwriter, and film director. He is known for his three-part YouTube series ''Shiro's Story'' (2018), his debut feature film ''Blue Story'' (2019), and the Netflix superhero series ''Supacell'' (2024) He made his debut with the ''Blue Story Trilogy'' (2013–2014), which he followed up with several charity music videos for SB.TV including ''Hope'' (2015), ''Pay As You Go'' (2016), and ''Promise'' (2017). After the success of ''Shiro's Story'' (2018), he signed with Jay-Z's Roc Nation. Rapman was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire, MBE in the 2022 Birthday Honours from Elizabeth II for services to drama and music. Supacell
''Supacell'' is a 2024 British Superhero fiction, superhero television series, created and written by Rapman for Netflix. It was directed by Rapman and Sebastian Thiel, and premiered with six episodes on 27 June 2024. Set in modern-day South London, the series is about a group of five ordinary black people, unified by family history of sickle cell disease. They unexpectedly develop superpowers and are pursued by a secret organisation who intends to control them. The series features an ensemble cast including; Tosin Cole, Adelayo Adedayo, Josh Tedeku, Nadine Mills, Eric Kofi-Abrefa, Calvin Demba, Ghetts, Digga D, and Eddie Marsan. The series was a difficult sell to US broadcasters such as HBO, American Broadcasting Company, ABC, and FX (TV channel), FX. ''Blue Story'' is a 2019 British musical film, musical crime drama film written, directed, and narrated by Rapman (Andrew Onwubolu) through the medium of Rapping, rap and starring Stephen Odubola and Micheal Ward, with Eric Kofi-Abrefa, Khali Best, Karla-Simone Spence, Richie Campbell (actor), Richie Campbell, Jo Martin and Junior Afolabi Salokun in supporting roles. Serving as Rapman's feature directorial debut, the film is based on his 2014 YouTube series of the same name, which in turn is based on the real life gangs - the Peckham Boys and Ghetto Boys. Shiro's Story
''Shiro's Story'' is a three-part YouTube series released in 2018, written, directed and narrated through the medium of rap by British rapper Rapman. It stars Joivan Wade as Shiro, Percelle Ascott as his best friend, Kyle, and features appearances from Konan, Deno, Ashley Walters, Headie One, Not3s and Cadet. Themes of betrayal, love and London gang rivalry play throughout, but there is no glamourisation of violence. The series was shot guerrilla-style on a budget of £3,000 and had been seen 7.2 million times as of early November 2019. The series as a whole has a run time of 45 minutes. Part 2 of the series won GRM Daily's Video of the Year award in 2018. Deptford
Deptford is an area on the south bank of the River Thames in southeast London, in the Royal Borough of Greenwich and London Borough of Lewisham. Sacred Heart Catholic School is a mixed Roman Catholic secondary school and sixth form located in the Camberwell area of the London Borough of Southwark, England.
