Ramón Olalquiaga
Ramón Olalquiaga Borne (30 August 1898 – 31 January 1990), sometimes spelled as Ramón Olalkiaga, was a Spanish footballer who played as a forward for Athletic Madrid, and later a coach, engineer and professor of agronomy. Club career Born in Gipuzkoa to a local veterinarian, he studied Marianist studies in San Sebastián and later studied agronomic engineering in Madrid. As a student in Madrid, he played for Atlético Madrid for 6 seasons. Together with Sansinenea, Miguel Mieg, Cosme Vázquez and Monchín Triana, Mieg was part of the great Athletic side of the early 20s that won the 1920–21 Centro Championship, the club's first-ever piece of silverware, and then reached the 1921 Copa del Rey Final, where they were beaten 4–1 by Athletic Bilbao. Gipuzkoa ( , ; ; ) is a province of Spain and a historical territory of the autonomous community of the Basque Country. Its capital city is Donostia-San Sebastián. Copa Del Rey
The , commonly known as , or (in English) the Spanish Cup or King's Cup, and formerly known as Copa del Presidente de la República (1932–1936) and Copa del Generalísimo (1939–1976), is an annual knockout football competition in Spanish football, organized by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. The competition was founded in 1903, making it the oldest Spanish football competition played at a national level. Copa del Rey winners qualify for the following season's UEFA Europa League. Arenas Club De Getxo
Arenas Club de Getxo is a Spanish football club based in the town of Getxo, near Bilbao, in the autonomous community of Basque Country. Founded in 1909, it currently plays in , holding home games at Campo Municipal de Gobela, with a 2,000-seat capacity. They were winners of the 1919 Copa del Rey, beating FC Barcelona 5–2. Senén Villaverde Lavandera (1896 – 7 April 1950), also known as Villaverde III was a Spanish footballer who played as a forward. His brothers, Saturnino and Fernando, were also footballers and also played for Athletic Club de Madrid. Club career Born in Gijón, he began his career at his hometown club Sporting de Gijón. In 1915, he followed his older brother Fernando to Athletic Club de Madrid, but after just one season he returned to Sporting. International career In 1917, he was summoned to play for the Cantabric representative team, a side consisting of players from the provinces of Asturias and Cantabria who played in the local league. The Cantabria autonomous football team is the regional football team for Cantabria, Spain. They are not affiliated with FIFA or UEFA and therefore are only allowed to play friendly matches. History The Northern Federation In the early 20th century, the Cantabrian players were part of a combined 'North' team, however, this team usually only featured players from the Basque provinces of Biscay and Gipuzkoa, each of which was also organizing their own representative matches occasionally. The Royal Spanish Football Federation (; RFEF) is the governing body of football in Spain.
