Ramón Fagoaga
Ramón Alfredo Fagoaga Romero (born 12 January 1952) is a former Salvadoran footballer. Club career Despite suffering from asthma, Fagoaga started playing at the ''Pipiles'' youth team and when turned professional he played as a striker for Dragón in the Salvadoran second division. When he later joined Atlético Marte he was made a central defender since Marte already had seven strikers in the squad. International career Fagoaga was a member of the El Salvador team at the 1982 World Cup in Spain and represented his country in 23 FIFA World Cup qualification matches. He played 105 matches for his country including non-official ones. San Miguel, El Salvador
San Miguel () is a city in eastern El Salvador. It is the country's third most populous city. It is located east of the capital, San Salvador. It is also the capital of the department of San Miguel and a municipality. The population of the city in 2024 was 290,612. History Luis de Moscoso Alvarado established the village of San Miguel de la Frontera (Saint Michael of the Frontier) on May 8, 1530, as a bastion for the conquest of the Lenca kingdom of Chaparrastique (Place of Beautiful Orchids). The 1981 CONCACAF Champions' Cup was the 17th edition of the annual international club football competition held in the CONCACAF region (North America, Central America and the Caribbean), the CONCACAF Champions' Cup. The CONCACAF Champions Cup, formerly known as CONCACAF Champions League (2008–2023), is an international association football competition organized by CONCACAF as its top continental tournament for clubs from North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. The Salvadoran Football Federation ( or ) is the official governing football organization in El Salvador and is in charge of the El Salvador national football team, and El Salvador national beach soccer team. The federation is also in charge of the three tiers of domestic club competition, including the top-flight Primera División de Fútbol Profesional. In May 2010, FIFA briefly suspended teams and associated members from international competition on the grounds that the Salvadoran government had not acknowledged the authority of the Normalisation Committee set up to represent FESFUT. On May 28, the suspension was lifted. In November 2010 the federation started the first women's football league in El Salvador. In September 2013, the federation imposed a life-time ban on 14 members of the country's national team for match-fixing and another three players were banned for between six and 18 months.
