Ramesh Menon
Ramesh Menon is an author, journalist, documentary filmmaker, and corporate trainer. He was one of the people to win the Ramnath Goenka Award for Excellence in Journalism in 2005, as well as the Madhavankutty Gold Medal for Excellence English Journalism. Career In a career spread over four decades, he worked across print, television and the news media. He started as a reporter with The Times of India. His longest stint of 16 years was with India Today where he started as a correspondent and rose to become Associate Editor. As Executive Producer of Business India Television and TV Today, he produced a variety of television programmes dealing with news, current affairs and ecology. Banaras Hindu University (BHU), formerly Benares Hindu University, is a collegiate, central, and research university located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India, and founded in 1916. The university incorporated the Central Hindu College, which had been founded by theosophist and future Indian Home Rule leader Annie Besant in 1898. By 1911 Besant was marginalised on the governing board of the College by Madan Mohan Malviya who preferred a more traditional Hinduism with its hereditary caste system to Besant's more theosophical one. Ramnath Goenka (22 April 1904 – 5 October 1991) was an Indian newspaper publisher. He bought the majority stake of ''The Indian Express'' in 1930s. He created the Indian Express Group with various English and regional language publications.''A doyen of Indian Journalism, Shri Goenka's greatest passion was the print media. The Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards (RNG Awards) are one of the awards in India in the field of journalism. Named after Ramnath Goenka, the awards have been held annually since 2006, with the 12th edition being held in 2017. The awards are given for both print journalism as well as broadcast journalism, with a total of 25 different prizes being awarded in 2017 for excellence in journalism during 2016. Folkestone
Folkestone ( ) is a coastal town on the English Channel, in Kent, south-east England. The town lies on the southern edge of the North Downs at a valley between two cliffs.
