''Rama Madhav'' is a 2014 Indian Marathi-language historical drama directed by Mrinal Kulkarni, It takes place during the Peshwa era. ''Rama Madhav'' was released on 8 August 2014. Plot The story starts from where Chhoti Rama is playing. All she knows as a child is that she was married to the son of a Peshwa. Mrinal Kulkarni
Mrinal Kulkarni (née Deo; born 21 June 1971) is an Indian actress and director known for her work in several films and television productions. She is best known for her role as Mirabai in Doordarshan's '' Mirabai'' and as a fairy on Star Plus's '' Son Pari''. She has also acted in Marathi language and Hindi TV serials and films. Early life, family and education Mrinal was born on 21 June 1971 into a Marathi Konkanastha Brahmin family in Pune to Dr. Vijay Deo and Dr. Veena Deo. She has a sister named Madhura. She lost her father to illness on 11 April 2019. Her mother died on 29 October 2024. She has a Master's degree in Linguistics from Pune University. Vishwasrao Bhat (27 July 1742 – 14 January 1761) was the eldest son and heir of Peshwa Balaji Baji Rao of the Maratha Empire. From early in his life, he was trained in administrative matters and exposed to military training since childhood. He died while fighting on the front lines during the Third Battle of Panipat. Early life Vishwasrao was born at Supe, the Jagir of Shahaji, near Pune. He is said to have inherited the appearance of his grandfather Baji Rao I, but had blue eyes. Parvatibai (6 April 1734 – 23 September 1763) was second wife of Sadashivrao Bhau. She was from the Kolhatkar family of Pen and was married to Sadashivrao Bhau after the death of his first wife Umabai and hence became a member of the Peshwa family. She was also a trusted confidante of Shahuji. Her niece Radhikabai was married to Vishwasrao. Panipat Campaign When the Marathas under Sadashivrao went to North India, she escorted her husband. On the way to Panipat, she performed pilgrimage at Mathura and Vrindavan, along with Nana Phadnavis and other women folks in Maratha camp. Sadashivrao Bhau Bhatt (4 August 1730 – 14 January 1761) was son of Chimaji Appa (younger brother of Bajirao I) and Rakhmabai (Pethe family) and the nephew of Baji Rao I. He was a finance minister during the reign of Maratha king Rajaram II. He led the Maratha army at the Third Battle of Panipat. Anandibai was a Peshwa the second wife of Raghunathrao, the 11th Peshwa of the Maratha Empire. In August 1773, she successfully plotted the death of her nephew, the 17-year-old Peshwa Narayanrao. Her husband was acting regent at the time and next in line for the throne, at the time of Narayanrao's death. Early life and marriage Anandibai was born into a Chitpavan Brahmin family belonging to Guhagar village in the Konkan region of what is now Maharashtra state. Raghunathrao, also known as Ragho Ballal or Raghoba Dada (18 August 1734 – 11 December 1783), was the younger son of Peshwa Bajirao I who served as the 11th Peshwa of the Maratha Empire for a brief period from 1773 to 1774. He defeated Rohillas at the Battle of Delhi (1757), resulting in the Marathas becoming the de-facto rulers of Delhi with Mughal Emperor Alamgir II having no actual power.
