Ralph Klein
Ralph Philip Klein (November 1, 1942 – March 29, 2013) was a Canadian politician and journalist who served as the 12th premier of Alberta and leader of the Progressive Conservative Association of Alberta from 1992 until his retirement in 2006. Klein also served as the List of mayors of Calgary, 32nd mayor of Calgary from 1980 to 1989. Ralph was born and mostly grew up in Calgary, Alberta. After dropping out of High School in grade 11, Klein joined the Royal Canadian Air Force reserves for one year and then attended the Calgary Business College. Klein later worked as a teacher and principal at the Calgary Business College, and later public relations with non-profits. After that, Klein became a prominent local journalist in Calgary where he reported on the challenges of the working class, social outcasts and First Nations, endearing himself to those groups. Ian Reid (Alberta Politician)
Ian Wilson Carlyle Reid (May 27, 1931 – January 18, 2016) was a provincial level politician from Alberta, Canada. He served as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 1979 to 1989. During his time in office, Reid served various portfolios in the Executive Council of Alberta under the Governments of Peter Lougheed and Don Getty from 1983 to 1989. Political career Reid ran for a seat to the Alberta Legislature for the first time in the 1979 Alberta general election. He won the electoral district of Edson (provincial electoral district), Edson by a wide margin defeating three other candidates to hold it for the governing Progressive Conservative party. The Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF; ) is the air and space force of Canada. Its role is to "provide the Canadian Forces with relevant, responsive and effective airpower". The Primary Reserve of the Canadian Armed Forces () is the first and largest of the four sub-components of the Canadian Armed Forces reserves, followed by the Supplementary Reserve, the Cadet Organizations Administration and Training Service (formerly the Cadet Instructors Cadre) and the Canadian Rangers. The reserve force is represented, though not commanded, at the national level by the chief of reserves and employer support. This is usually a major-general or rear-admiral. Craig Cheffins is a former member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta for the Calgary-Elbow riding. David John Russell (July 29, 1931 – August 17, 2023) was a Canadian politician from Alberta. Life and career David John Russell was born in Calgary, Alberta on July 29, 1931. Russell was elected to Calgary City Council and served as Alderman from 1960–1961 and then again from 1963 to 1967.
