Raja Beni Mellal
Raja Beni Mellal is a Moroccan football club currently playing in the second division Botola 2. The club was founded in 1956 and is based in the city of Beni Mellal. History Raja Beni Mellal was founded in 1956 by Monsieur Abdellatif Mesfioui after the alliance of a set of clubs of the city of Beni Mellal they included the Ittihad Al Mellali et La Mouloudia. Abdellatif Mesfioui was the first president of the club following the merger between the Ittihad and Mouloudia. The club businesses still have the final of the Champions Cup Maghreb against Club Africain. Best Presidents of the club's history to date were Lhaj Jilali Lasri (1973–1974 and 1974–1975) and his son Lhaj Abdelwahed Lasri (2010–2011 and 2011–2012) where during their activity there have been the best four seasons in the history of Raja Beni Mellal. Botola Pro D2 Inwi, commonly known as Botola 2 (formerly the ''Groupement National de Football 2''), is the second division of the Moroccan football league system, Moroccan football league, behind the Botola, Morocco's highest football league. It features 16 teams from across the country that compete for the top two positions, with the top two teams being promoted to the Botola at the end of the season. Each season, the bottom 3 teams are relegated to the third-level, GNFA 1. The league was created on June 11, 1915, in Morocco during the French protectorate, by the Moroccan Federation of Athletic Sports (FMSA), and was governed by the FMSA until 1922, when the League of Morocco of Football Association took over. Excellence Cup
The Excellence Cup () is a knockout football tournament in Moroccan football, created in 2024 and organized by the LNFP. It is open to all professional clubs of the first and second divisions of each season. Its objectives are the integration and development of young players, the gradual recovery after the breaks and the maintenance of competition rhythm during the suspensions of the league. Participating clubs are required to register at least ten under-23 players on the match squad and to play at least six throughout the match.
