Raina Perez
Raina Perez (born July 30, 1998) is an American former professional basketball player and current coach, who is an assistant coach for the UC Riverside Highlanders women's basketball team. She played college basketball at NC State, Cal State Fullerton, and Northern Arizona. College career Northern Arizona During her freshman season, Perez was one of four players on the team to appear in every game. She averaged 10.1 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists. At the end of the year, Perez was the top scoring freshman in the conference. Following her freshman season, Perez decided to transfer to Cal State Fullerton. Cal State Fullerton Perez spent three years at Cal State Fullerton. She redshirted during the 2017–2018 season due to NCAA Transfer rules. Goodyear is a city in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States. It is a suburb of Phoenix and at the 2020 census had a population of 95,294, up from 65,275 in 2010 and 18,911 in 2000. The city is home to the Goodyear Ballpark, where the Cleveland Guardians and Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball hold spring training. The 2019–20 NCAA Division I women's basketball season began in November 2019 and concluded prematurely on March 12, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2020 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament was scheduled to end at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 5, 2020, but was ultimately canceled. The 2022 WNBA season was the 26th season of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The Chicago Sky were the defending champions. The WNBA's second Commissioner's Cup took place during the regular season, with the Las Vegas Aces winning over the Sky. In the playoffs, the Aces were the first seed and won the Finals over the Connecticut Sun. The regular season was expanded to 36 games per team, is the most games scheduled in a single WNBA season. A 36-game season was originally scheduled for 2020, but the plan was scrapped due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 2021–22 NC State Wolfpack Women's Basketball Team
The 2021–22 NC State Wolfpack women's basketball team represented North Carolina State University during the 2021–22 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Wolfpack were led by ninth-year head coach Wes Moore and played their home games at Reynolds Coliseum as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Wolfpack finished the season 32–4 overall and 17–1 in ACC play to finish as regular season champions. As the first seed in the ACC tournament, they earned a bye to the Quarterfinals where they defeated ninth seed Florida State, then they defeated fifth seed Virginia Tech in the Semifinals, and they won the Final versus seven seed Miami to win their third straight tournament title.
