Rafał Hawel
Rafał Hawel (born 11 September 1984) is a Polish badminton player from the SKB Piast Słupsk team. Hawel started his junior career as Technik Głubczyce player, and at the Polish Junior championships, he won the boys' singles and doubles title in 2002 and 2003. He also won the bronze medal at the 2003 European Junior Badminton Championships, 2003 European Junior Championships. In the senior event, he won the Polish National Badminton Championships, national championships in 2006 partnered with Przemysław Wacha in the men's doubles and in 2011 with Kamila Augustyn in the mixed doubles event. Badminton
Badminton is a racquet sport played using racket (sports equipment), racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net (device), net. Although it may be played with larger teams, the most common forms of the game are "singles" (with one player per side) and "doubles" (with two players per side). Badminton is often played as a casual outdoor activity in a Yard (land), yard or on a beach; professional games are played on a rectangular indoor court. Points are scored by striking the shuttlecock with the racquet and landing it within the other team's half of the court, within the set boundaries. Each side may only strike the shuttlecock once before it passes over the net. Play ends once the shuttlecock has struck the floor or ground, or if a fault has been called by the umpire, service judge, or (in their absence) the opposing side.
