Radoslav Nikolov Boychev (born 1 January 1981) is a Bulgarian politician, member of the parliamentary group of There is Such a People in the XLVI National Assembly. He was an operative officer in the State Security Service. Ihtiman
Ihtiman ( ) is a town in western Bulgaria, part of Sofia Province. It is located in the Ihtiman Valley of the Ihtimanska Sredna Gora mountain range and lies in a valley 48 km from Sofia and 95 km from Plovdiv, close to the Trakiya motorway. Formerly a Roman defensive station guarding the important roads to the Bosphorus, Ihtiman was then called ''Stipon''. It continued to play this role under the Byzantine Empire and later under the First and Second Bulgarian Empires, with the main defensive centre in the region of the Gate of Trajan hill pass. In 986 the Bulgarian Emperor Samuel dealt a crushing defeat on the Byzantines in the battle of the Gates of Trajan. Following the Ottoman conquest of Bulgaria in the 14th century, the town's name was changed to ''Ihtiman'', which is thought to be of Ottoman Turkish origin. 2022 Bulgarian Parliamentary Election
Early parliamentary elections were held in Bulgaria on 2 October 2022 to elect members of the 48th National Assembly. The snap election was called after the fall of the Petkov Government, a four-party coalition, in June 2022. This was the fourth parliamentary election since 2021, an unprecedented situation in Bulgarian history, the previous elections being the April, July, and November 2021 elections. As in the previous snap elections, no party secured a majority. The GERB–SDS alliance emerged as the largest bloc with 67 seats and was assigned the task of forming a government by President Rumen Radev, but their efforts failed. Radev then granted the We Continue the Change party and later the BSP for Bulgaria coalition a mandate to form a government, but both were unsuccessful. Revival (Bulgarian Political Party)
Revival () is a far-right and ultranationalist political party in Bulgaria, founded in August 2014. Its chairman is Kostadin Kostadinov. The party is characterised by various analysts and media as pro-Russian, anti-EU, anti-NATO, being opposed to COVID-19 vaccinations and spreading anti-vaccine and anti-LGBT rhetoric. Targovishte Municipality () is a municipality ('' obshtina'') in Targovishte Province, Northeastern Bulgaria, located in the transition between the Danubian Plain and the area of the so-called Fore-Balkan. It is named after its administrative centre - the city of Targovishte which is also the capital of the province. 2023 Bulgarian Local Elections
Local elections in Bulgaria were held on 29 October 2023. Mayors and municipal councillors across the country were elected. Electoral system The elections to Bulgaria's municipal councils are conducted via proportional representation with an Open list, open list preferential voting system. The mayoral elections take place within the context of a majoritarian two-round system. The first round of the elections will be held on 29 October. If no candidate in a given constituency manages to gain 50% of the vote, a runoff election will be held for that constituency in the second round on 5 November. Voting is Compulsory voting, officially mandatory, but in practice there is no punishment for failing to vote and the law itself isn't strictly enforced.
