Rado Trifunović
Radovan "Rado" Trifunović (; born 25 January 1973) is a Slovenian professional basketball coach and former player. He is the current assistant coach for Bahçeşehir Koleji of the BSL. Coaching career Slovenia (2017–2020) On 10 October 2017, after Igor Kokoškov's contract expired, Trifunović was appointed the head coach of the Slovenian men's national team. Before he became Slovenia head coach, he has worked as an assistant coach under Kokoškov who led the team to the gold medal at the 2017 EuroBasket. The Basketball Super League (; TBSL), also known as the Türkiye Sigorta Basketbol Süper Ligi for sponsorship reasons, is the top men's professional basketball division of the Turkish basketball league system. It replaced the former Turkish Basketball Championship (1946–1967) to become the Turkish Basketball League (TBL) until 2015 when it adopted its current name while the TBL name became exclusive to the Turkish Basketball First League, second-tier and Turkish Basketball Second League, third-tier divisions. The Basketball Federation of Slovenia () also known as KZS is the governing body of basketball in Slovenia. EuroBasket 2017
EuroBasket 2017 was the 40th edition of the EuroBasket championship that was organized by FIBA Europe and held between 31 August and 17 September 2017. Beginning from 2017, the continental championships take place every four years with a similar system of qualification as for the FIBA Basketball World Cup. Like the previous edition, the tournament was co-hosted by four countries. Games in the group stage were held in Turkey, Finland, Israel and Romania. The knock-out phase was played in Istanbul, Turkey. Slovenia won their first-ever tournament after defeating Serbia 93–85 in the final.
