Rachel Renee Smith (born April 18, 1985) is an American actress, television host, model, and beauty pageant titleholder who won the Miss USA 2007 pageant and who previously had competed in the Miss Teen USA 2002 pageant. She represented the United States at Miss Universe 2007 and placed 4th Runner-Up. Early life Smith was born on a U.S. Army base in Panama. She lived in Clarksville, TN after her parents were stationed at Fort Campbell. She attended Clarksville Academy and graduated from Davidson Academy for high school. Smith graduated ''magna cum laude'' from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in journalism. Smith graduated a semester early, in December 2006. Miss USA 2007
Miss USA 2007 was the 56th Miss USA pageant, held at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California, Los Angeles, California on March 23, 2007, after two weeks of events and preliminary competition. The winner of the pageant was Rachel Smith of Tennessee. The pageant was broadcast live on NBC from the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, California one month earlier than the 2006 pageant. This was the second time that the pageant was held at this venue; it was previously held there in 2004, when Shandi Finnessey of Miss Missouri USA, Missouri was crowned Miss USA 2004. The Miss Wisconsin Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Wisconsin in the Miss Teen USA pageant. It is currently produced by Future Productions based in Savage, Minnesota since 2007. Wisconsin has placed at Miss Teen USA on seven occasions. The first placement was in 1984, when Adrianne Hazelwood made the ten semi-finalists, and then endured an eighteen-year dry spell until Vanessa Marie Semrow, Vanessa Semrow won the Miss Teen USA crown in 2002. Vanessa Marie Semrow (born November 17, 1984) is an American model and beauty queen who won Miss Teen USA 2002. Personal life Semrow was born as Vanessa Marie Semrow in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Miss Teen USA is a beauty pageant that has been run since 1983 by the Miss Universe Organization for girls aged 14–19 years old as of January 1st of the competition year. They must be US citizens, and cannot have been married, pregnant, or have children.
