Rabit (musician)
Eric C. Burton, best known by the recording alias Rabit, is an American producer of experimental electronic music, as well as the owner of his own label Halcyon Veil, born in Houston. Career Burton began his musical career making experimental grime music for online record labels. Eventually, he released his debut album '' Communion'' on Tri Angle, which was released to critical acclaim. In a Pitchfork review by Philip Sherburne, where he rated the record 7.9 out of 10, he stated that it was 'violent music' and that 'you emerge even after just a few minutes' worth of the album's unrelenting barrage of beats and palette of sampled shrapnel feeling dazed and punch-drunk'. In 2017, Burton was featured as a producer on Björk's Grammy-nominated album Utopia for the track 'Losss'. ''Ranked Ballot Initiative of Toronto'' (RaBIT) is a Canadian grassroots, public policy and advocacy group that supports reforming the municipal electoral voting system in the city of Toronto from a first-past-the-post voting system to instant runoff voting. Founding and Mission Founded by "community choreographer" Dave Meslin, RaBIT grew out of a series of community town hall meetings conducted under the name ''Better Ballots'' in the Spring of 2010. Community members voted at these meetings for instant runoff voting as their preferred method of ballot reform from fourteen options, and enfranchisement for permanent residents of Toronto as the most popular choice of democracy-building overall. Following these consultations, RaBIT formed to advocate for ranked ballots to be put into law in time for the 2014 election. Batak Rabit is a small town in Hilir Perak District, Perak, Malaysia. The town is located near Teluk Intan town.
