RTÉ Executive Board
The RTÉ Executive Board, despite its name, was not a board of directors, but rather was a committee composed of the senior management of the Irish public service broadcaster, Raidió Teilifís Éireann, responsible for the day-to-day running of the broadcaster. The executive board reported to the RTÉ Board through the director general. It was disbanded by the newly appointed Director General Kevin Bakhurst on his first day following the RTÉ secret payment scandal, and replaced by a "temporary interim leadership team". Composition The executive board was chaired by the Director General of RTÉ. Ryan Tubridy
Ryan Tubridy (born 28 May 1973) is an Irish broadcaster. He currently presents the weekday mid-morning programme ''The Ryan Tubridy Show'' on Virgin Radio UK, as well as a weekend programme on Sundays. His broadcasting career with RTÉ spanned over two decades, where he presented many shows on radio and television, most notably ''The Late Late Show (Irish talk show), The Late Late Show'' on RTÉ One from 2009 to 2023. ''Prime Time'' is an Irish current affairs television programme airing on RTÉ One on Tuesday and Thursday nights (following the '' RTÉ Nine O'Clock News''). First broadcast on RTÉ One in 1992, Miriam O'Callaghan has been its main presenter since 1995. Only one show per week is broadcast during the summer months. Mission To Prey
"Mission to Prey" is the title of an episode of the RTÉ programme ''Prime Time Investigates'' broadcast in May 2011. It falsely accused an Irish Catholic priest in Kenya of having fathered a child by engaging in child sexual abuse. The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland fined the RTÉ as a result and the decision to air the programme was described as "one of the gravest editorial mistakes ever made" in the history of RTÉ broadcasting. Kevin Reynolds (born c. 1947) is an Irish Roman Catholic priest who was falsely accused of raping and impregnating a Kenyan teenager in a 2011 RTÉ documentary titled " Mission to Prey", broadcast on the ''Prime Time'' programme. Deirdre Anne Forbes (born 1 February 1967) is an Irish former broadcasting executive, who was the Director General of RTÉ from April 2016 to June 2023.
