RRD Editor
RRD Editor{{cite web, url=https://sourceforge.net/projects/rrdeditor/, website=SourceForge, title=RRD Editor download, access-date=2019-08-02 is a GUI-based application that provides access to archived RRDtool data. Features The visual editing features of the RRD Editor allow users to modify the contents of an RRD (Round-Robin Database). Once an RRD is loaded into the editor, users can quickly locate a specific data point to modify or remove an entire Round-Robin Archive (RRA). The tool also allows new data sources and RRAs to be added in addition to detecting and removing spikes. RRD Editor is licensed under the GNU GPL The GNU General Public Licenses (GNU GPL or simply GPL) are a series of widely used free software licenses, or ''copyleft'' licenses, that guarantee end users the freedom to run, study, share, or modify the software. Graphical User Interface
A graphical user interface, or GUI, is a form of user interface that allows user (computing), users to human–computer interaction, interact with electronic devices through Graphics, graphical icon (computing), icons and visual indicators such as secondary notation. In many applications, GUIs are used instead of text-based user interface, text-based UIs, which are based on typed command labels or text navigation. GUIs were introduced in reaction to the perceived steep learning curve of command-line interfaces (CLIs), which require commands to be typed on a computer keyboard. The actions in a GUI are usually performed through direct manipulation interface, direct manipulation of the graphical elements. Beyond computers, GUIs are used in many handheld mobile devices such as MP3 players, portable media players, gaming devices, smartphones and smaller household, office and Distributed control system, industrial controls. The term ''GUI'' tends not to be applied to other lower-displa ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

RRDtool
RRDtool (''round-robin database tool'') is a data logging and graphing system for time series data. It aims to handle time series data such as computer network, network bandwidth (computing), bandwidth, temperatures or Load (computing), CPU load. The data is stored in a circular buffer based database, thus the system storage footprint remains constant over time. It also includes tools to extract round-robin data in a graphical format, for which it was originally intended. Bindings exist for several programming languages, e.g. Perl, Python (programming language), Python, Ruby (programming language), Ruby, Tcl, PHP and Lua (programming language), Lua. There is an independent full Java (programming language), Java implementation called rrd4j. General data storage RRDtool assumes time-variable data in intervals of a certain length. This interval, usually named step, is specified upon creation of an RRD file and cannot be changed afterwards. Because data may not always be available ... GNU General Public License
The GNU General Public Licenses (GNU GPL or simply GPL) are a series of widely used free software licenses, or ''copyleft'' licenses, that guarantee end users the freedom to run, study, share, or modify the software. The GPL was the first copyleft license available for general use. It was originally written by Richard Stallman, the founder of the Free Software Foundation (FSF), for the GNU Project. The license grants the recipients of a computer program the rights of the Free Software Definition. The licenses in the GPL series are all copyleft licenses, which means that any derivative work must be distributed under the same or equivalent license terms. The GPL is more restrictive than the GNU Lesser General Public License, and even more distinct from the more widely used permissive software licenses such as BSD, MIT, and Apache. Historically, the GPL license family has been one of the most popular software licenses in the free and open-source software (FOSS) domai ... Network Management
Network management is the process of administering and managing computer networks. Services provided by this discipline include fault analysis, performance management, provisioning of networks and maintaining quality of service. Network management software is used by network administrators to help perform these functions. Technologies A small number of accessory methods exist to support network and network device management. Network management allows IT professionals to monitor network components within large network area. Access methods include the SNMP, command-line interface (CLI), custom XML, CMIP, Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI), Transaction Language 1 (TL1), CORBA, NETCONF, RESTCONF and the Java Management Extensions (JMX). Schemas include the Structure of Management Information (SMI), YANG, WBEM, the Common Information Model ( CIM Schema), and MTOSI amongst others. Value Effective network management can provide positive strategic impacts. For ex ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |
