RPC Guarapuava
RPC Guarapuava is a Brazilian television station, headquartered in Guarapuava, a city in the state of Paraná. It operates on channel 2 (32 UHF digital) and is affiliated with TV Globo. History The station was founded on November 25, 1989, as TV Independência Guarapuava, a Rede Manchete affiliate owned by Sistema Sul de Comunicação (currently Grupo RIC, owner of RIC TV, a network of Record affiliates). The station was the fourth in the system, serving an estimated audience of 1,3 million. The station was later renamed TV Guairacá and became a Band affiliate in 1993. In November 2000, RPC bought the station from J. Ultra High Frequency
Ultra high frequency (UHF) is the ITU designation for radio frequencies in the range between 300 megahertz (MHz) and 3 gigahertz (GHz), also known as the decimetre band as the wavelengths range from one meter to one tenth of a meter (one decimetre). Guarapuava
Guarapuava is a municipality in the state of Paraná in Brazil. It is the largest municipality in that state by area. Considered a regional development hub with a strong influence on neighboring municipalities, it is also part of a railroad junction of national importance called the Mercosur corridor, between the municipalities of Foz do Iguaçu and Curitiba. Rede Manchete (; lit.: Headline Network; also known as TV Manchete or only Manchete) was a Brazilian television network that was founded in Rio de Janeiro on 5 June 1983 by the Ukrainian-Brazilian journalist and businessman Adolpho Bloch. RIC TV (Rede Independência de Comunicação or in English Independence Network Communications) is a Brazilian television network affiliated to RecordTV. History It was created in 1986 in Curitiba, Paraná, with the founding of Sistema Sul de Comunicação's television network, with TV Independência Curitiba, a Manchete affiliate.
