RK Žito Prilep (HC Žito Prilep) () is a Macedonian women's handball club from Prilep, North Macedonia. The team competes in the Macedonian women's First League of Handball. History The club was founded in 1979. It has played in the Women's EHF Challenge Cup twice, reaching the Quarterfinals in the 2010-11 season. Prilep ( ) is the List of cities in North Macedonia, fourth-largest city in North Macedonia. According to 2021 census, it had a population of 63,308. Handball (also known as team handball, European handball, Olympic handball or indoor handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a Handball goalkeeper, goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the opposing team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end. The 2011–12 EHF Women's Cup Winners' Cup is the 36th edition of the EHF Women's Cup Winners' Cup, the continental event for domestic cup winners in Europe.
