Regard (DJ)
Dardan Aliu (born 23 July 1993), known professionally as Regard, is a Kosovan DJ and record producer. Born and raised in Ferizaj, he made his international breakthrough in 2019 with his remix of Jay Sean's 2008 single " Ride It", which resulted in commercial success worldwide. Life and career Regard was born as Dardan Aliu on 23 July 1993 into an Albanian family in the city of Ferizaj, Kosovo. Regard released a house cover of the Jay Sean song " Ride It". The cover rose to prominence after it received 4.1 million views on TikTok. DJ Regard was signed to the Ministry of Sound and "Ride It" was released in July 2019. The single topped the Spotify Viral chart in the US, and eventually had over a million plays on Spotify. By the end of August 2019, the song had been streamed over 2.4 million times in the US and entered the ''Billboard'' Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart at number 21. History and profile Created in 1932 as a Communist title, ''Regards'' is primarily known for photojournalism, and pre-dated other pictorial magazines such as ''Life'' (1936) and '' Paris-Match'' (1949). ''Regards'' was a periodical which launched photojournalism in the years before World War II. Leon Moussinac, critic and film theorist, a friend of Leon Delluc, runs the magazine. Robert Capa and Henri Cartier-Bresson are core photographers. The magazine stopped publication in 1962, and then reappeared in 1995, under the leadership of the communist Henri Malberg. Regard – Saguenay International Short Film Festival ( or ''Festival international du court métrage au Saguenay''), also known as the Saguenay International Short Film Festival, or simply Regard (stylized as REGARD; "Look"), is a short film festival taking place annually in the city of Saguenay, Quebec, Saguenay, Quebec, Canada. Founded in 1996, it is one of the main film festivals dedicated to shorts in North America. Since 2024, Marie-Michèle Plante is the festival's general director.
