RCMP Academy, Depot Division (commonly known as "Depot", not ) is the police training academy for Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) cadets. Providing training since its establishment in 1885, the facility is located in the west part of Regina, Saskatchewan, near the airport, and consists of several buildings. History In the RCMP's early days, Depot had a full horse stable and employed veterinarians. Horsemanship is no longer part of the cadets' training since 1966. Depot is the only location where the RCMP trains its cadets. One of the only rare exceptions was some Mounties were trained at an Ottawa region facility in the 1950s or 1960s. RCMP Heritage Centre
The RCMP Heritage Centre () is a law enforcement museum located in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. The museum houses a number of exhibits on the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and artifacts relating to the police force. The heritage centre's was designed by Nick Milkovich Architects, and is situated at the northeast end of RCMP Academy, Depot Division. Construction for the RCMP Heritage Centre began in 2005 to replace the RCMP Centennial Museum, also located at the Depot Division. The Garda Síochána College is the education and training college of the Garda Síochána (Irish police service). It is located at McCan Barracks, Templemore, County Tipperary in Ireland. Carlyle ( 2021 population 1,524) is a town in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada. Carlyle is the largest town servicing the far south-eastern corner of Saskatchewan and as a result, has become the economic and services centre of the region. Estevan and Weyburn are the closest cities and both are a little over 100 kilometres away. Regina, the provincial capital, lies 200 km to the north-west. White Bear 70
White Bear 70 is an Indian reserve of the White Bear First Nations in Saskatchewan. It is about north of Carlyle, is adjacent to Moose Mountain Provincial Park, and surrounds White Bear (Carlyle) Lake. It encompasses a total of . In the 2016 Canadian Census, it recorded a population of 691 living in 237 of its 972 total private dwellings. In the same year, its Community Well-Being index was calculated at 60 of 100, compared to 58.4 for the average First Nations community and 77.5 for the average non-Indigenous community.
