Urban district (), or borough, is a type of second tier subdivision on Vietnam is divided into 713 units along with district, provincial city, and town have equal status. The urban districts can only subordinate to municipality as the Second Tier unit. At the Third Tier, urban district is divided into wards. Cầu Giấy District
Cầu Giấy (anglicized as Cau Giay) is an urban district of Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. It is located roughly to the west of urban Hanoi. Cầu Giấy has a unique urban landscape, with new urban developments interlacing old historical artisan villages. The most well-known of them is a cluster of Dịch Vọng villages (aka Cốm Vòng 'village') with its popular cốm dessert. With a population of roughly 300,000, Cầu Giấy hosts many administrative and corporate headquarters within the Trung Hoà–Nhân Chính urban area. Cầu Giấy is also considered to be an education hub of Hanoi due to its high concentration of universities and magnet schools. District 5 () is an urban district (''quận'') of Ho Chi Minh City, the largest city in Vietnam. The Chinese community accounts for a significant population in this district. There are several hospitals, high schools and universities in this district. As of 2010 the district had a population of 174,154 people. The district covers an area of 4.27 km2.
