Quaker is an unincorporated community in southwestern Washington County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. Quaker is located on Missouri Route C, between Courtois to the southwest and Delbridge to the northeast. The area is within the Mark Twain National Forest and the Hazel Creek Recreation Area, along with a section of the Ozark Trail lie approximately four miles to the north. Mark Twain National Forest (MTNF) is a U.S. National Forest located in the southern half of Missouri. MTNF was established on September 11, 1939. It is named for author Mark Twain, a Missouri native. The MTNF covers of which is public owned, of which are Wilderness, and National Scenic River area. MTNF spans 29 counties and represents 11% of all forested land in Missouri.
