PGG Wrightson Limited is an agricultural supply business based in New Zealand. It was created in 2005 through the merger of Pyne Gould Guinness Ltd and Wrightson Limited and has its roots in a number of stock and station agencies dating back to 1861. It is one of the major suppliers to the agricultural sector in New Zealand providing products such as seeds, grains, livestock, irrigation, farm equipment, insurance and financing. Dalgety plc—as Dalgety and Company—was for more than a century a major pastoral and agricultural company or stock and station agency in Australia and New Zealand. Controlled from London it was listed on the London Stock Exchange and Australasian exchanges. John Anderson (New Zealand Businessman, Born 1945)
Sir John Anthony Anderson (2 August 1945 – 13 November 2018) was a New Zealand businessman and sports administrator. He served as Chief Executive and Director of ANZ Bank New Zealand (then ANZ National Bank Ltd) and after retiring at the end of 2005, became the chair of Television New Zealand in April 2006. Early life and family Anderson was born in Wellington, and was educated at Christ's College and Victoria University of Wellington. He married Carol Tuck in 1970, and they had three children. Michael Craig Norgate (14 April 1965 – 7 July 2015) was a New Zealand accountant and business leader in agricultural processing, marketing and related areas. He had a career as chief executive officer (CEO) of dairy companies Kiwi Co-operative Dairies and Fonterra Co-operative Group, before consolidating the rural servicing industry through PGG Wrightson. Williams & Kettle Limited with headquarters in Napier, New Zealand, owned a stock and station agency business and a general merchants business with branches throughout the east coast of the North Island of New Zealand. Donald Reid (politician Born 1833)
Donald Reid (16 July 1833 – 7 February 1919) was a Scottish-born 19th-century farmer, landowner, and businessman in Otago, New Zealand. A member of the Otago Provincial Council he was later a Member of Parliament for ten years between 1866 and 1878. Scotland Reid was born in Strathtay in Perthshire, Scotland. He was the third recorded son of Donald Reid and Margaret McGregor. His father died in 1844 and his mother remarried.
