Youth Zimbabwe Freedom Party
Youth is the time of life when one is young. The word, youth, can also mean the time between childhood and adulthood ( maturity), but it can also refer to one's peak, in terms of health or the period of life known as being a young adult. Youth is also defined as "the appearance, freshness, vigor, spirit, etc., characteristic of one, who is young". Its definitions of a specific age range varies, as youth is not defined chronologically as a stage that can be tied to specific age ranges; nor can its end point be linked to specific activities, such as taking unpaid work, or having sexual relations. Youth is an experience that may shape an individual's level of dependency, which can be marked in various ways according to different cultural perspectives. United People's Party (Zimbabwe)
The United People's Party (UPP) was a political party in Zimbabwe from 2006-2010. Formed by Dr. Daniel Shumba, a former provincial chairman of Masvingo and member of the Central Committee of ZANU-PF, it called for opposition to the ZANU-PF, the nation's ruling party, claiming it had subjected Zimbabweans to poverty, hopelessness and victims of misrule, greed, brutality, terror, corruption and dictatorship." Party candidates ran for the first time in the by-elections of Chiredzi South and Zaka East in February and March 2007, respectively. In the 2008 parliamentary election, the party put forward 79 candidates for the House of Assembly and 27 for the Senate in eight of Zimbabwe's ten provinces. Shumba (who self-funded the Party), who was the first party leader, was denied a chance to run in the 2008 Zimbabwean presidential election for allegedly arriving late to the nomination court. United Parties
The United Parties (UP) is a political party founded in Zimbabwe in 1994 and was led by retired Bishop Abel Muzorewa. The UP is an amalgamation of Muzorewa's former party, United African National Council, and a Matebeleland and Masvingo-based faction of the Forum Party which had been formed in 1993. The UP also received members from the Zimbabwe Unity Movement, the party founded by former ZANU PF secretary general Edgar Tekere in 1989. The UP boycotted the 1995 elections and in 1996 Muzorewa withdrew from the Presidential election charging widespread irregularities in the electoral law and administration. In the run-up to the 2000 election the UP called for Mugabe's resignation and an end to political intimidation. The party signed a voting pact agreement with the Liberty Party, ZANU Ndonga and the Zimbabwe Union of Democrats with the aim of supporting the other party's candidate to avoid splitting votes. Riseup Zimbabwe Freedom Party
Riseup is a volunteer-run collective providing secure email, email lists, a VPN service, online chat, and other online services. This organization was launched by activists in Seattle with borrowed equipment and a few users in 1999 or 2000, and quickly grew to millions of accounts. As of 2013, Riseup features 6 million subscribers spread across 14,000 lists. Their projects have included the Stop Watching Us campaign against global surveillance disclosures revealed by Edward Snowden. Products Riseup provides products to facilitate secure communications, including use of strong encryption, anonymizing services, and minimal data retention, which aimed at individuals and non-profit and activist groups. National Patriotic Front (Zimbabwe)
The National Patriotic Front (NPF) is a Zimbabwean political party founded on 19 November 2017 by leaders of the expelled G40 faction of the ZANU-PF party, which included the exiled Jonathan Moyo, Patrick Zhuwao and Saviour Kasukuwere. The party denounced the military takeover in November 2017, known as Operation Restore Legacy, that led to President Robert Mugabe's resignation. In March 2018, retired Brigadier Ambrose Mutinhiri resigned from parliament and left the ZANU-PF to become president of the NPF, and shortly thereafter Ambrose Mutinhiri was announced as the party's presidential candidate for the 2018 general elections. In late May 2018 a video of Jonathan Moyo and Patrick Zhuwawo discussing the NPF's internal problems was live-streamed online. Mthwakazi Republic Party
Mthwakazi Republic Party is a political party in Zimbabwe. It has been described as both secessionist and restorationist, seeking to restore the Mthwakazi kingdom. History The party was founded in 2014 in Bulawayo. In 2020, the party started a campaign to obtain 20,000 signatures to petition the government, neighbouring countries, the British government, and the Queen of the United Kingdom, to restore the Mthwakazi kingdom. Mqondisi Moyo, the party president, said this initiative was inspired by UN resolutions, specifically, that "minority groups must be afforded their autonomy and self-determination", and that self-determination should be afforded to "all minority groups whose human rights were being denied and their dignity trampled on by majority ethnic groups anywhere in the world". Matabeleland Peoples Congress
Matabeleland is a region located in southwestern Zimbabwe that is divided into three provinces: Matabeleland North, Bulawayo, and Matabeleland South. These provinces are in the west and south-west of Zimbabwe, between the Limpopo and Zambezi rivers and are further separated from Midlands by the Shangani River in central Zimbabwe. The region is named after its inhabitants, the Ndebele people who were called "Amatabele"(people with long spears - Mzilikazi 's group of people who were escaping the Mfecani wars). Other ethnic groups who inhabit parts of Matabeleland include the Tonga, Bakalanga, Venda, Nambya, Khoisan, Xhosa, Sotho, Tswana, and Tsonga.
