Pierre Bertrand (cardinal)
Pierre Bertrand (1280 – 1348 or 1349) was a French Cardinal, theologian, and canonist. Pierre Bertrand was born at Annonay in Vivarais. His noble parentage is known to us through the manuscript memoir of Grasset, a Celestine monk of the seventeenth century (''Discours généalogique de la noble maison de Bertrand et de leur alliance avec celle de Colombier)''. The legal profession seems to have been the first aim of his education. He successively studied and taught law in the Universities of Avignon, Montpellier, Orléans, and Paris. A highly competent lawyer, he soon reached high positions in the Parliament of Paris, the King's Council, and the Queen's Chancery. His interests lay, however, in another direction, and he became a priest. His priestly career was as successful as his legal success. Pierre Bertrand De Colombier
Pierre Bertrand de Colombier (1299–1361), French cardinal and diplomat, was born at Colombier in Ardèche. He was nephew and namesake of Cardinal Pierre Bertrand of Annonay. After a careful juristic education he was successively advocate at the parlement of Paris, intendant of the council of the count of Nevers (1321), and counsellor-clerk to the ''parlement'' (1329). Having taken holy orders, he became dean of St Quentin in 1330, and was employed to negotiate the marriage of the duke of Normandy, the future king John the Good of France, with the daughter of the king of Bohemia. In 1335 he became bishop of Nevers, in 1339 bishop of Arras, and contributed to bring the county of Flanders into the kingdom of France. Pierre Bertrand (December 24, 1875 – December 22, 1948) was a politician in Quebec, Canada, and a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Quebec (MLA). Early life He was born on December 24, 1875, in Quebec City's St. Roch neighborhood. City Councillor Bertrand served as a city councillor for Quebec City Council from 1914 to 1927, 1930 to 1932 and 1936 to 1948. Beau Dommage
Beau Dommage was a rock band from Montreal, Quebec, who achieved success in Quebec and France in the 1970s. The group's style included rich vocal harmonies and elements borrowed from folk and country music. History Beau Dommage started in 1972 as an offshoot of the theatrical group "La Quenouille Bleue". Founders Pierre Huet, Robert Léger and Michel Rivard were joined by Pierre Bertrand, Réal Desrosiers and Marie Michèle Desrosiers (no relation). The group's first album, ''Beau Dommage'', was released in 1974 and broke sales records at the time. The next year, '' Où est passée la noce?'' reached Platinum (as awarded by the CRIA before May 1, 2008, 100,000 units) on its first day of sales.
