Paula Fuga
Paula Hiltrudis Fuga is a Hawaiian singer-songwriter who was born in Waimānalo, Hawaii. She has worked and performed with many artists on projects such as Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Ziggy Marley, and Damian Marley. Early life Fuga was born and raised in Waimānalo on the island of Oahu, Hawaii in 1978. As a child, she was orphaned and taken in by her grandparents, and found a passion for music as a young child. She unsuccessfully auditioned for ''American Idol'' in 2003, and shortly after joined a reggae band named Dubkonscious. Career 2005–2007: Debut album and breakthrough In 2005, Fuga was signed to PakiPika Productions and released her debut studio album ''Lilikoi'' a year later. In 2007, she won a Na Hoku Hanohano Award for "Most Promising Artist of the Year" for ''Lilikoi''. Donavon Frankenreiter (born December 10, 1972) is an American musician and surfer. His debut self-titled album was released in 2004 on Brushfire Records through Universal Music. Career Frankenreiter was born in Downey, California, United States. In November 2007, he toured throughout Brazil on the Mostra Alma Surf Festival with bands, Animal Liberation Orchestra, G. Love and Matt Costa, along with Surf Artists Jay Alders, Nathan Gibbs, Céline Chat, Surf Photographer Sean Davey, and Surf Film Maker Sunny Abberton. Makana (who is so named as it is the Hawaiian word meaning “the gift”), born Matthew Swalinkavich, is a slack-key guitar player, singer, and composer. Koloa, Hawaii
Kōloa is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Kauai County, Hawaii, United States. The population was 2,231 at the 2020 census, up from 1,942 at the 2000 census. The first successful sugarcane plantation in the Hawaiian Islands was started here in 1835. It became a part of Grove Farm in 1948. The name ''Kōloa'' is often incorrectly translated as "native duck", which is the correct translation for the similar-looking ''koloa'' (without the macron). ''Kōloa'' means "a long cane with a crook." According to one account, the district of Kōloa was named for a steep rock called Pali-o-kō-loa which was found in Waikomo Stream. Manuel Javier García Herrera (born 1 March 1970) is a folk-pop Chilean singer-songwriter and guitarist. He has won several awards and has twice received the Chilean National Music Prize, awarded by the Chilean Government (in 2008 and 2012). Early life García studied History and Geography Education at the University of Tarapacá in Arica and then moved to Santiago in 1994 to study professional guitar performance ("interpretación superior en guitarra") at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile with fellow musician Luis Orlandini.
