Paul Keating (diplomat)
Paul John Keating (born 18 January 1944) is an Australian former politician who served as the 24th prime minister of Australia from 1991 to 1996, holding office as the leader of the Australian Labor Party (ALP). He previously served as the treasurer of Australia in the Hawke government from 1983 to 1991 and as the seventh deputy prime minister of Australia from 1990 to 1991. Keating was born in Sydney and left school at the age of 14. He joined the Labor Party at the same age, serving a term as State President of Young Labor and working as a research assistant for a trade union. He was elected to the Australian House of Representatives at the age of 25, winning the division of Blaxland at the 1969 election. Keating briefly was Minister for Northern Australia from October to November 1975, in the final weeks of the Whitlam government. Ian Sinclair
Ian McCahon Sinclair (born 10 June 1929) is a former Australian politician who served as leader of the National Party from 1984 to 1989. He was a government minister under six prime ministers, and later Speaker of the House of Representatives from March to November 1998. Sinclair was born in Sydney and studied law at the University of Sydney. He later bought a farming property near Tamworth. Sinclair was elected to parliament in 1963, and added to the ministry in 1965 as part of the Menzies Government. Julieanne Newbould (born 1957) is an Australian actress who first came to prominence in the 1970s. Newbould was 16 years old when she played Karen in the 1974 ABC telemovie ''Lindsay’s Boy''. She then worked in several television series for the Grundy Organisation, and in 1977 played a guest role in the soap opera, ''The Young Doctors'', and then became a popular original cast member of ''The Restless Years''. Bankstown is a suburb south west of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia.
