Paul Finch
Paul Finch is an English author and scriptwriter. He began his writing career on the British television programme ''The Bill''. His early scripts were for children's animation. He has written over 300 short stories which have appeared in magazines, such as the ''All Hallows'', the magazine of the Ghost Story Society and ''Black Static''. He also edits anthologies of Horror stories with the overall title of ''Terror Tales''. He has written variously for the books and other spin-offs from ''Doctor Who.'' He is the author of the ongoing series of DS Mark ''Heck'' Heckenberg novels. Early life and education Finch is the son of British television scriptwriter and dramatist Brian Finch. He was a police officer with the Greater Manchester Police until 1988 and later a journalist. Brian Finch
Brian Finch (25 July 1936 – 27 June 2007) was a British television scriptwriter and dramatist. His longest relationship was with the ITV1 soap opera, ''Coronation Street'', for which he wrote 150 scripts between 1970 and 1989. He also helped the development of '' All Creatures Great and Small'', ''The Tomorrow People'', and '' Heartbeat''. He contributed several episodes to the British detective programmes ''The Gentle Touch'', ''Hetty Wainthropp Investigates'', '' Bergerac'' and ''The Bill''. It was for his work as a writer on '' Goodnight Mr Tom'', a bittersweet drama starring John Thaw, for which he received a BAFTA. Third Doctor
The Third Doctor is an incarnation of the Doctor, the protagonist of the BBC science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. He was portrayed by actor Jon Pertwee. Within the series' narrative, the Doctor is a centuries-old alien Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey who travels in time and space in the TARDIS, frequently with companions. At the end of life, the Doctor regenerates. Consequently, both the physical appearance and personality of the Doctor changes. Pertwee portrays the Third Doctor as a dapper man of action in stark contrast to his wily but less action-orientated predecessors. Big Finish Short Trips
The Big Finish ''Short Trips'' are a collection of short story anthologies published by Big Finish Productions based on the BBC Television series ''Doctor Who'', beginning with the collection ''Short Trips: Zodiac'' in December 2002 and ending with the loss of their license in 2009. The ''Short Trips'' name was inherited from similar collections published by the BBC, who decided in March 2000 that it was no longer financially viable to produce collections of short stories. Big Finish Productions negotiated a licence to continue producing these collections, publishing them in smaller runs and in hardback, thus allowing for a higher cover price and increased profit margins than on the BBC collections. In May 2009 and after 28 collections, Big Finish announced that they were ending the ''Short Trips'' series as the BBC had not renewed it for a second licence, eventually halting sales of the books on the Big Finish Website in December 2009. Pre-production is the process of planning some of the elements involved in a film, television show, play, or other performance, as distinct from production and post-production. Pre-production ends when the planning ends and the content starts being produced. In film Pre-production formally begins once a project has been greenlit. Paul Campion is an English/New Zealand film director, and screenwriter. Life and career Born in England, Campion studied technical illustration at Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design. He began his career as a freelance illustrator and was represented by Folio Artists Agents in London. He created book cover illustrations for authors such as Wilbur Smith and Ben Elton. In 1999 he completed a Master's degree in Computer Animation at Bournemouth University, and then moved to New Zealand where he worked on Peter Jackson's ''The Lord of the Rings'' film trilogy, as a texture painter, creating digital textures for the Balrog, Mûmakil, Fellbeast and Shelob.
