Patrick Phelan (composer)
Patrick "Pat" Phelan is a video game audio composer, manager, and producer. Background At the age of 11, Phelan's parents bought him a VIC-20. He learnt how to program and began to write games. At age 13, he got his first synthesizer, a Korg MS20 and learning how to program the MS20's patch bay gave him his grounding in understanding the fundamentals of sound synthesis. A few years later, the VIC was replaced with a Commodore 64. Soon there was a confluence between his gaming obsession, and his love for sound and music. Influenced by Rob Hubbard and Ben Daglish, Phelan began to write music specifically for games. When he progressed to the Atari ST, Phelan began collecting keyboards and using the ST's built-in MIDI connectors, started to sequence complex arrangements, classical scores as well as audio for high-powered games. ''Top Gear 2'' (released as ''Top Racer 2'' in Japan) is the sequel to the 1992 racing game, racer ''Top Gear (video game), Top Gear''. The game was first released in August 1993 for the SNES, later in May 24, 1994 for the Sega Genesis and in 1994 for Amiga. It was developed by Gremlin Interactive and published by Kemco for the SNES and by Vic Tokai for the Genesis. Nitrous oxide (dinitrogen oxide or dinitrogen monoxide), commonly known as laughing gas, nitrous, or nos, is a chemical compound, an oxide of nitrogen with the formula . Gameplay The game itself is as one would normally expect from any fighting game: fight through 3 rounds against all opponents to reach the main boss at the end. The game features 17 characters (2 hidden) from around the world (including one from space). Each character of course has their own special moves. Like most fighting games, they involve pressing a certain directional combination, followed by a button press to activate.
