Pasundan
The State of Pasundan (Indonesian language, Indonesian and su, Negara Pasundan) was a federated state, federal state ''(negara bagian)'' formed in the western part of the Indonesian island of Java by the Netherlands in 1948 following the Linggadjati Agreement. It was similar to the geographical area now encompassed by the current Provinces of Indonesia, provinces of West Java, Banten and Jakarta. A Pasundan Republic ( id, Republik Pasundan) was declared on 4 May 1947 but was dissolved later that year. On 26 February 1948, the State of West Java ''(Negara Jawa Barat)'' was established and, on 24 April 1948, the state was renamed Pasundan. Pasundan became a federated state, federal state of the United States of Indonesia in 1949 but was incorporated into the Republic of Indonesia (1949–1950), Republic of Indonesia (itself also a constituent of the USI) on 11 March 1950. The Wali Negara of Pasundan (literally 'State Guardian', id, Wali Negara Pasundan) was the head of state and highest political office in the short-lived State of Pasundan, which existed as a Dutch-backed federal parliamentary republic from 1948 until the state's dissolution in 1950. According to the Regulations of the Constitutional Organization of Pasundan, the Wali Negara had the authority to dissolve the Parliament, appoint and discharge the Prime Minister, enact decrees, and submit law drafts and the state budget to the Parliament. Raden Aria Adipati Wiranatakusumah V ( Old Spelling: Raden Aria Adipati Wiranatakoesoemah V; 23 November 1888 – 22 January 1965), commonly shortened to R. A. A. Wiranatakusumah V or just as Wiranatakusumah V, was an Indonesian politician who served as the first and only Wali Negara of Pasundan, during the Indonesian National Revolution. He was also the first Minister of Home Affairs of Indonesia and the second Chairman of the Supreme Advisory Council. He was born on 23 November 1888. He was educated at the Europeesche Lagere School (ELS), the Hogere Burgerschool (HBS), and later the Opleiding School Voor Inlandsche Ambtenaren (OSVIA). His first career in government began when he was a clerk at Wedana Tanjungsari, Sumedang in 1910. Djumhana Wiriaatmadja
Djumhana Wiriaatmadja ( EYD: Jumhana Wiriaatmaja, 23 February 1904 – 20 January 1975) was a Sundanese aristocrat, regent, politician, and diplomat. Born in Cianjur, Djumhana entered law after finished studying in the Rechthogeschool. He began to work as a seconded employee in the district court of Bandung, and later became the regent of Pandeglang. After Indonesia's independence, he was appointed as the cabinet formateur of the State of Pasundan on 28 December 1948 by Wiranatakusumah V, officially being sworn in on 10 January 1949. Oetarjo Anwar Tjokroaminoto (3 May 1909 – 16 November 1975) was an Indonesian politician and journalist. He served as Minister of Social Affairs for a year in the Wilopo Cabinet, and was the Prime Minister of Pasundan for less than a month during January 1950. Son of Indonesian nationalist and Sarekat Islam founder H.O.S. Tjokroaminoto, he studied journalism in his youth and for some time worked in schools affiliated with his father's political party PSII before working for newspapers. He worked for the '' Asia Raya'' newspaper during the Japanese occupation period, and he was also managing editor for '' Pemandangan''.
