Pandan Gardens
Pandan Gardens is a housing estate which is part of Jurong East New Town in the West Region of Singapore. Immediately north of Pandan Reservoir and adjacent to Teban Gardens, it comprises exclusively public housing built by the JTC Corporation and Housing and Development Board. Its namesake road connects Jurong Town Hall Road to West Coast Road. Geography Like its sister town – Teban Gardens, Pandan Gardens was a patch of mangrove swamp bordering on the banks of Sungai Pandan but was subsequently reclaimed to make way for housing development projects by the JTC Corporation in 1970. Jurong
Jurong () is a major geographical region located at the south-westernmost point of the West Region of Singapore. Although mostly vaguely defined, the region's extent roughly covers the planning areas of Jurong East, Jurong West, Boon Lay, and Pioneer, along with Jurong Island in the Western Islands cluster and the southernmost portions of the Western Water Catchment. Should it be described at its greatest historical extent, the region can also include present-day Bukit Batok and Tuas. Jurong also covers several offshore islands as well, including Pulau Damar Laut and Pulau Samulun, both of which are located within the planning areas of Jurong East and Boon Lay respectively; along with the aforementioned Jurong Island. Jurong East MRT Station
Jurong East MRT station is an elevated Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) interchange station on the North South (NSL) (which terminates at this station) and East West (EWL) lines in Jurong East, Singapore, operated by SMRT Trains. It is located at the heart of Jurong Lake District, within the vicinity of JCube, Jem, Westgate, IMM, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong East Bus Interchange. The station opened on 5 November 1988 as part of the MRT system extension to Jurong. The station was initially the terminus of the Branch line and became the terminus of the NSL after the NSL was merged with the Branch line. An additional track and platforms were added when the station went through upgrades in 2010 as part of the Jurong East Modification Project (JEMP). Jurong Regional Library
Jurong Regional Library (Chinese: 裕廊区域图书馆; Malay: ''Perpustakaan Wilayah Jurong'') is a public library located in Jurong East, Singapore. It is located next to JCube and is within walking distances of Jurong East Bus Interchange and Jurong East MRT station. It is the third regional library to be completed after the Tampines and Woodlands regional libraries and is currently the largest public library under the National Library Board network of public libraries. During the construction of the National Library building, it temporarily housed the main collections of the reference library until the opening of the new building on 22 July 2005. JCube
JCube is a shopping centre located in Jurong East, Singapore. It opens from 10 am to 10 pm and is home to Singapore’s first Olympic-size ice rink and the first IMAX theatre in the suburbs. It was built on the former site of the Jurong Entertainment Centre. The name, JCube was decided on after a naming competition held in 2010. J represents the mall’s location in Jurong. Cube represents what JCube was designed to look like - an ice cube. It was co-designed by RSP Architects and Benoy. Jurong Entertainment Centre
Jurong Entertainment Centre was an entertainment centre once located at Jurong East, Singapore. Background Opened in 1993, the shopping centre was within walking distance from Jurong East MRT station. It had a net lettable retail floor area of , with a cineplex of four movie theatres operated by the Shaw Organisation on the ground floor, and featured the ''Fuji Ice Palace'' on third floor, one of the only two ice rinks in Singapore. In 2000, the ground floor theatres were converted to a total of six theatres. Clementi Police Division
The Clementi Police Division (or 'D' Division) is one of the seven land divisions of the Singapore Police Force. Clementi Division covers about 70 square kilometres in the South-Western part of Singapore, which includes Jurong Island, Sentosa Island and the popular Holland Village. Taman Jurong is a residential precinct in Jurong West, Singapore.
