Pair (parliamentary Convention)
In parliamentary practice, pairing is an informal arrangement between the government and opposition parties whereby a member of a legislative body agrees or is designated by a party whip (politics), whip to be absent from the chamber or to abstain from voting when a member of the other party needs to be absent from the chamber due to other commitments, illness, travel problems, etc. Thus they maintain the balance of votes if one or the other is unable to attend. A three-line Whip (politics), whip would usually be excepted from this agreement. For MPs who are not paired a wiktionary:bisque, bisque, a rota system allowing absence, is used. The member that needs to be absent from their chamber would normally consult with his or her party whip, who would arrange a pair with their counterpart in the other major party, who as a matter of courtesy would normally arrange for one of its members to act as the pair. Pare People
The Pare (pronounced "Pahray") (''Wapare'', in Swahili language, Swahili) are a Bantu peoples, Bantu ethnic group. Their ancestral home is on the Pare Mountains of Same District and Mwanga District of Kilimanjaro Region in Northerneast Tanzania. During his visit to ''Usambara'' in 1848, German Colonial explorer Johann Ludwig Krapf, J. L. Krapf was informed, among other things, that there were the ''Pare'' and ''Gweno'' people living in the north. It seems that the people of South Pare were referred to by the former name, and the people of North Pare Mountains, North Pare by the latter. Nowadays, both groups are referred by the name ''Pare''. Pear
Pears are fruits produced and consumed around the world, growing on a tree and harvested in late summer into mid-autumn. Wine and food matching is the process of pairing food dishes with wine to enhance the dining experience. In many cultures, wine has had a long history of being a staple at the dinner table and in some ways both the winemaking and culinary traditions of a region will have evolved together over the years. A testicle or testis ( testes) is the gonad in all male bilaterians, including humans, and is homologous to the ovary in females. An au pair (; : au pairs) is a person working for, and living as part of, a homestay, host family. Typically, au pairs take on a share of the family’s responsibility for child care as well as some homemaking, housework, and receive a monetary allowance (money), allowance or stipend for personal use.
