Padmapriya Janakiraman
Padmapriya Janakiraman, (born 1983) better known mononymously as Padmapriya, is an Indian actress and model. She has acted in over 50 feature films and in 7 different languages: Bengali, Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, English, and Telugu. She is also a trained bharatanatyam dancer. Padmapriya made her acting debut in the Telugu film ''Seenu Vasanthi Lakshmi'' in 2003. She has won a National Film Award, two Kerala State Film Awards, two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, Three Filmfare Awards South, as well as numerous other awards. Early life Padmapriya was born in Delhi to Janakiraman, a brigadier in the Indian Army, and Vijaya. Padmapriya (born Padmalochani; died 16 November 1997) was an Indian actress who worked in Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films. Her first movie was in Telugu, ''Adapillala Tandri'' (1974). In Kannada, she debuted with '' Bangarada Gudi'' (1976) and was a popular actress during the late 1970s. She has the distinction of having acted opposite the legendary Dr. Rajkumar in three successive movies in a single year (1978) - ''Operation Diamond Racket'', ''Thayige Thakka Maga'' and '' Shankar Guru''. ''Seenu Vasanthi Lakshmi'' is a 2003 Telugu tragedy drama film directed by E. Srinivas. The film stars R. P. Patnaik playing the eponymous character of a blind village singer, along with Padmapriya Janakiraman and Navaneet Kaur in other prominent roles. Alwal is a major locality in Secunderabad city, and a suburb of Hyderabad. Earlier, Alwal was a part of Malkajgiri Mandal but in 2006, Alwal Municipality was merged into Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. After the district bifurcation Alwal Municipality became a new Mandal "Alwal Mandal", in Malkajgiri revenue division, with Alwal as the Mandal Headquarters.
