Péter Kovács (serial Killer)
Péter Kovács (January 11, 1934 – December 1, 1968), known as The Martfű Monster, was a Hungary, Hungarian rapist and serial killer known for his crimes around the southern settlements of Szolnok. The case surrounding his murder series is controversial, as an innocent man was initially accused of his crimes. The first murder Kovács worked as a truck driver in the area around Martfű, and frequently travelled around the settlements. He was familiar with the terrain in the outskirts of the inhabited area that he used in his first murder. Unlike most serial killers, Kovács was considered an average man with a normal background, who had built his own family and house, and was well regarded by his employer. Péter Kovács (handballer)
Péter Kovács (born April 8, 1955 in Budapest) is a former Hungarian people, Hungarian international Team handball, handball player and handball coach. One of the best players of his time, Kovács played 323 times for Hungary men's national handball team, Hungary and scored 1797 goals, having captured a World Championship silver medal in 1986. On club level, beside the number of domestic successes, his biggest achievement is the EHF Champions League, European Champions Cup title, he has taken with Budapest Honvéd in 1982. Kovács has shown his class abroad as well, having won both the German championship and cup title. He was also awarded the Sportsman of the Year prize while in Dortmund, just ahead of the football professionals of the local club Borussia Dortmund, Borussia. Péter Kovács (lawyer)
Péter Kovács (born 10 February 1959 in Szeged, Hungary) is a Hungarian professor of international law at the Peter Pazmany Catholic University, where he is the head of the Public International Law Department and the Doctoral School. Kovács has been a judge at the Constitutional Court of Hungary since 2005. Previously he served as a diplomat at the Embassy of Hungary in Paris and as the head of the Department for Human Rights and Minority Protection in the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Kovács was elected as a judge on the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the 2014 election of judges by the Assembly of State Parties. His nine-year term at the ICC ended in March 2024, but he is continuing in office pursuant to Article 36 (10) of the Rome Statute to complete the trial of Alfred Yekatom and Patrice-Edouard Ngaïssona. Péter Kovács (born 7 February 1978) is a Hungarian former professional footballer played as a forward for Újpest and Érd in Hungary, for La Neuveville-Lamboing in Switzerland, for Lahti and Haka in Finland, for Tromsø, Viking, Strømsgodset, Odd Grenland, Sarpsborg 08, Sandefjord and Arendal in Norway, and for Lierse in Belgium.
