Pásztó District
Pásztó () is a district in south-eastern part of Nógrád County. ''Pásztó'' is also the name of the town where the district seat is found. The district is located in the Northern Hungary, Northern Hungary Statistical Region. Geography Pásztó District borders with Szécsény District, Salgótarján District and Bátonyterenye District to the north, Gyöngyös District and Hatvan District ''(Heves County)'' to the east, Aszód District ''(Pest County)'' to the south, Vác District ''(Pest County)'' and Balassagyarmat District to the west. The number of the inhabited places in Pásztó District is 26. Municipalities The district has 1 List of cities and towns of Hungary, town and 25 villages. Jobbágyi
Jobágyi is a village in Nógrád County, Hungary, beside of the Zagyva river, under the Mátra mountain ranges. As of 2022 census, it has a population of 1874 (see Demographics). The village located beside of the main road 21 and the (Nr. 81) Hatvan–Fiľakovo railway line and 17.2 km away from the M3 motorway. The village have an own railway stop with public transport. History They were also found at the sand mine and the quarry in the 19th and 20th centuries prehistoric tools and mammoth bones, which allow us to infer that the area was inhabited in the Stone Age and Bronze Age. The first written mention of the settlement dates from 1229, under the name ''Jobbágyi'', presumably inhabited by castle serfs. King Charles I donated it to Master Demeter in 1326 after the death of the previous owner, the Zaar family. The village received the right to hold a weekly fair in 1329. Felsőtold
Felsőtold is a village in Nógrád County, Hungary with 175 inhabitants (2001). History On the border of Alsó (Lower) és Felsőtold (Upper Told), the Mogyorós-Szástó vineyard was discovered about a thousand years of burial sites, and the trace of a Roman settlement was found. The predecessor of the current villages was a village called Told already existed during the Kings of the Árpád House and was a property of the Toldi family in 1327 and 1470. This village was destroyed in the Turkish times, and has not yet occurred in the censuses of 1715-1720, so it was repopulated only after 1720. References
