In finance, a put or put option is a derivative instrument in financial markets that gives the holder (i.e. the purchaser of the put option) the right to sell an asset (the ''underlying''), at a specified price (the ''strike''), by (or on) a specified date (the '' expiry'' or ''maturity'') to the ''writer'' (i.e. seller) of the put. Put, occasionally Putt, is an English tavern game first recorded in the 16th century and later castigated by 17th century moralists as one of ill repute.Parlett (1995), pp. 27–28. Put (in Croatian: Putokazi) is a Croatian pop group from Rijeka. It was selected from members of Putokazi, in order to appear at 1993 Eurovision Song Contest as the first representative of independent Croatia, singing " Don't Ever Cry". The members of the group were Vivien Galletta, Angela Jeličić, Melita Sedić, Naim Ajra, Petar Cucak Migliaccio and Olja Desic. Prior to Eurovision, they participated in the Croatian Eurovision Song Contest in Opatija, where they won after a decision by the Varaždin jury. In the Eurovision Song Contest 1993, they placed 15th with 31 points. Their song, Don't Ever Cry, has 2 different versions in Croatian and English. The lyrics were sometimes swapped a bit between the versions. They released the CD/single of the song in 1993. Phut or Put ( ''Pūṭ''; Septuagint Greek ''Phoud'') is the third son of Ham (one of the sons of Noah) in the biblical Table of Nations ( Genesis ; cf. 1 Chronicles ). Sri Sathya Sai Airport is located at Puttaparthi in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. The airport is named after Sathya Sai Baba, a spiritual guru and philanthropist. It is a small airport with facilities for chartered flights rather than commercial aircraft. The airport was inaugurated in 1990 to serve the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences during emergency situations.
