Khleang Moeung
Ta Pech, Khleang Moeung or Sena Moeung (; UNGEGN: , ALA-LC: , ) is a mythical-historical sixteenth century military leader in, and a guardian spirit '' neak ta'' whose field of action extends to the entire west of Tonle Sap Lake. Etymology: treasure, strength or center Khleang Moeung has a mixed Khmer and Thai etymology. ''Ghlāṃṅ'' is Khmer for "treasure, keeper for the treasury, storehouse" while ''Mīoeṅ'' is Thai for "municipality, region or country”. Thus, keeper of the local treasury. A similar interpretation is made for the name of Thai national hero Pha Mueang who played a significant role in the founding of the Sukhothai Kingdom, freeing Siam from Khmer rule after the reign of Jayavarman VII in the 13th century. Sampov Meas District
Pursat municipality () is a municipality in Pursat province, Cambodia. The provincial capital Pursat is located within the municipality. The municipality was formerly known as Sampov Meas district (). Location Pursat is located in the center of the most populated part of the province. The district is completely surrounded by other districts and is the only district in Pursat that shares no border with another province. North of Pursat lies Kandieng district, while Bakan forms the northeastern and eastern borders. Phnum Kravanh is to the south and Krakor forms the western boundary along National Highway Number Five. Cambodia is divided into 25 provinces (, ). The capital Phnom Penh is not a province but an "autonomous municipality" (, ; lit. 'capital'), equivalent to a province governmentally and administered at the same level as the other 24 provinces.
