''Get Out Your Handkerchiefs'' () is a 1978 French comedy film directed by Bertrand Blier and starring Carole Laure, Gérard Depardieu, Patrick Dewaere and Riton Liebman. The film won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at the 51st Academy Awards. Critic Arion Berger called it "a romantic comedy that bears no resemblance to romantic comedy as a genre". The film tells the story of a ménage à trois in which two men share a woman to cure her of an unexplained depression, with many symptoms. Eventually, she begins an affair with an underage boy. The film employs heavy references to historical musician Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, combined with the music of the film's composer Georges Delerue, who won the César Award for Best Original Music. ''Get Out Your Handkerchiefs'' was a critical success. Plot Raoul and his wife Solange are eating in a restaurant when Raoul expresses concern with Solange's apparent depression, as she eats little, suffers migraines and insomnia, and a ... Le Soir
''Le Soir'' (, ) is a French-language Belgian daily newspaper. Founded in 1887 by Émile Rossel, it was intended as a politically independent source of news. Together with '' La Libre Belgique'', it is one of the most popular Francophone newspapers in both Brussels and Wallonia, and since 2005 has been published in Berliner format. It is owned by Rossel & Cie, which also owns several Belgian news outlets, as well as the French paper '' La Voix du Nord''. History and profile ''Le Soir'' was founded as a free advertising newspaper in 1887. Later it became a paying paper. When Belgium was occupied during the Second World War, ''Le Soir'' continued to be published under German censorship, unlike many Belgian newspapers which went underground. The paper, which became known as "Le Soir Volé" (or "Stolen Le Soir"), was parodied by the resistance group, the '' Front de l'Indépendance'' which in 1943 published a satirical pro-Allied edition of the paper, dubbed the " Faux Soir" ... Going Places (1974 Film)
''Going Places'' is a 1974 French comedy-drama film co-written and directed by Bertrand Blier, and based on his own novel with the same title. Its original title is ''Les Valseuses'', which translates into English as "the waltzers", a vulgar French slang term for "the testicles". It stars Miou-Miou, Gérard Depardieu and Patrick Dewaere, who all had their breakthrough roles with this film. It is one of the most controversial films in French cinema due to its vulgarity, depiction of sexual acts, nudity and amorality. However, Blier's later acclaim for the rest of his filmography made it a cult film for modern critics. Plot Jean-Claude and Pierrot harass and sexually assault an older woman in a banlieue, steal her purse and run away. After they evade their pursuers, they loot the purse but are disappointed to find almost no money. They steal a Citroën DS for a joyride. When they bring it back at night, the owner awaits them with his gun drawn. Pierrot runs away but is s ...
