Provença–Diagonal Station
Provença and Diagonal are two connected rapid transit stations that form a major transport hub in Barcelona's Eixample district. Provença is served by the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya, FGC-operated Barcelona Metro line 6, Line 6 and Barcelona Metro line 7, Line 7 of the Barcelona Metro and the suburban rail lines FGC line S1, S1 and FGC line S2, S2 of the Barcelona-Vallès Line. Diagonal is an important interchange station of the Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona, TMB-operated Barcelona Metro network, served by Barcelona Metro line 3, Line 3 and Barcelona Metro line 5, Line 5. A rush hour (American English, British English) or peak hour (Australian English, Indian English) is a part of the day during which traffic congestion on roads and crowding on public transport is at its highest. Sarrià Station
Sarrià is a railway station located under the ''Via Augusta'' at '' Carrer de l'Hort de la Vila'' in the Sarrià neighbourhood of the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district of Barcelona, Spain. It is served by lines L6 and L12 of the Barcelona Metro, and by lines S1 and S2 of the Metro del Vallès commuter rail system. All these lines are operated by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya, who also run the station. Sarrià station is the junction point between Barcelona Metro line L12 to Reina Elisenda, and the Metro del Vallès lines L6, S1 and S2 to Sant Cugat, Terrassa and Sabadell. The station originally had four tracks, with three island platform between them, and three accesses. As part of making the station wheelchair-accessible, the former third track was filled in to create a single island platform for L6, S1 and S2, while L12 uses the second island platform. Avinguda Diagonal
Avinguda Diagonal (; in Spanish language, Spanish: Avenida Diagonal) is the name of one of Barcelona's broadest and most important avenues. It cuts the city in two, diagonally with respect to the grid pattern of the surrounding streets, hence the name. It was originally projected by engineer and urban planning, urban planner Ildefons Cerdà as one of the city's wide avenues, which along with Avinguda Meridiana, Barcelona, Avinguda Meridiana would cut the rationalist grid he designed for l'Eixample (Catalan language, Catalan for ''extension''). Carrer De Balmes
''Carrer de Balmes'' (), named after the Catalan philosopher and ecclesiastic Jaume Balmes, is one of the most important avenues in Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain). It was devised in 1859 as part of Ildefons Cerdà urban plan. Balmes is along '' Carrer Muntaner'' the longest road stretching from the sea towards the mountainside. It starts in the crossing of Pelai and Bergara streets and crosses the Eixample and Sant Gervasi districts, ending in Plaça John Fitzgerald Kennedy, by '' Avinguda del Tibidabo'' and ''Tramvia Blau''. The Sant Gervasi part of the street was constructed after 1908. Passeig de Gràcia () is one of the major avenues in Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain) and one of its most important shopping and business areas, containing several of the city's most celebrated pieces of architecture.
