Protests Against The Second Presidency Of Donald Trump
Multiple protests have been held across the US and other countries against President Donald Trump since his 2024 re-election. Demonstrations have been held to protest and show disapproval for promises he made during his 2024 re-election campaign, proposals he has made to various domestic and international matters and decisions and policies he has signed off on. Another notable cause in the protests is the Cabinet of the second presidency, in particular Elon Musk, for stated goals and actions prior and during the presidency. While many protests and actions have been led by pre-existing organisations, there has also been a large amount of organising and attendance by the wider public alongside action taken during non-political events such as the Super Bowl. Domestic 2024 On November 6, the day after Trump's re-election, protesters gathered in San Jose and Berkeley, California, downtown Cleveland, Chicago, New York City, and Philadelphia to protest border militarizat ...

Immigration Reform In The United States
Reforming the immigration policy of the United States is a subject of political discourse and contention. Immigration has played an essential part in American history, as except for the Native Americans, everyone in the United States is descended from people who migrated to the United States. Some claim that the United States maintains the world's most liberal immigration policy. Illegal immigration is extremely controversial in the United States, receiving much attention in recent decades yet yielding little legislative consensus or action. Since the failure of the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act of 2013, no significant immigration reform legislation has been enacted. As of 2022, the DACA program is prohibited from adding new beneficiaries but has not been ended or struck down due to the Supreme Court's 2020 decision in Department of Homeland Security v. Regents of the University of California. Background In the United States of Ame ...

Abortion Rights
Abortion-rights movements, also self-styled as pro-choice movements, are movements that advocate for legal access to induced abortion services, including elective abortion. They seek to represent and support women who wish to terminate their pregnancy without fear of legal or social backlash. These movements are in direct opposition to anti-abortion movements. The issue of induced abortion remains divisive in public life, with recurring arguments to liberalize or restrict access to legal abortion services. Some abortion-rights supporters are divided as to the types of abortion services that should be available under different circumstances, including periods in the pregnancy such as late term abortions, in which access may or may not be restricted. Terminology Many of the terms used in the debate are political framing terms used to validate one's stance while invalidating the opposition. For example, the labels pro-choice and pro-life imply endorsement of widely held va ...

Project 2025
Project 2025 (also known as the 2025 Presidential Transition Project) is a political initiative to reshape the federal government of the United States and consolidate executive power in favor of right-wing policies. The plan was published in April 2023 by The Heritage Foundation, an American conservative think tank, in anticipation of Donald Trump winning the 2024 presidential election. The ninth iteration of the Heritage Foundation's '' Mandate for Leadership'' series, Project 2025 is based on a controversial interpretation of the unitary executive theory that states that the entire executive branch is under the complete control of the president. The project's proponents say it would dismantle a government bureaucracy that is unaccountable and mostly liberal. Critics have called it an authoritarian, Christian nationalist plan that would steer the U.S. toward autocracy. Some legal experts say it would undermine the rule of law, separation of powers, separation of churc ...
