Promenade De La Croisette
The Promenade de la Croisette (), or Boulevard de la Croisette, is a prominent road in Cannes, France. It stretches along the shore of the Mediterranean Sea and is about 2 km long. The Croisette is known for the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, where the Cannes Film Festival is held. Many expensive shops, upscale restaurants, and hotels (such as the Carlton, Majestic, JW Marriott Cannes, and Martinez) line the road. It goes completely along the coastline of Cannes. Carlton Hotel, Cannes
The Carlton Cannes, a Regent Hotel is a historic 332 room luxury hotel opened in 1911, located at 58 La Croisette in Cannes on the French Riviera in France. It is famous for hosting movie stars from around the world during the annual Cannes Film Festival. Following major renovations, it reopened on 13 March 2023. History The Carlton Hotel was constructed from 1909 to 1910 by Swiss hotelier Henry Ruhl, and designed by architects Charles Dalmas and Marcellin Mayère. Grand Duke Michael Mikhailovich of Russia contributed to the financing of the hotel. The hotel opened on 30th January 1911. JW Marriott Cannes
The JW Marriott Cannes is a five star hotel on the Croisette in Cannes. It was built in 1992 as the Noga Hilton by hotel magnate Nessim Gaon, and was renamed the Palais Stéphanie in 2007 when it passed from Hilton to Accor. Hôtel Martinez
The Hôtel Martinez is an Art Deco hotel on the Promenade de la Croisette in Cannes. It was opened on 20 February 1929 by Emmanuel Michele Martinez, son of Baron Giovanni Martinez and Giuseppa Labiso Costanza, members of a noble Italian family of Spanish origins from Palermo. Karan Singh, the crown prince of Jammu and Kashmir, was born there in 1931. History In 1927, Emmanuel Michele Martinez, a manager of hotels in London and Paris and the director of the Cannes Luxury Hotel Association, decided to build his own hotel on the Côte d'Azur. Using the connections his family had with nobility, Martinez bought the "Villa Marie-Therese" on September 22, 1927, from Alfonso XII. The Hôtel Martinez opened in 1929.
