Martin Prokop (, born 4 October 1982) is a Czech Republic, Czech Rallying, rally driver. He won the Junior World Rally Championship in the 2009 World Rally Championship season, 2009 season. Career After competing in the Czech Rally Championship for four years, Prokop debuted in the World Rally Championship at the 2005 Monte Carlo Rally, finishing ninth in the Junior World Rally Championship (JWRC) category. Prokop ( sr-cyr, Прокоп) is an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is located in Belgrade's municipality of Savski Venac. The major facility in the neighborhood is the new Belgrade Centre railway station, opened for limited use in 2016. Due to the name of the main street in the old section of the neighborhood, and the name of the local community (sub-municipal administrative unit) which includes Prokop, the neighborhood's name is occasionally reported as Stjepan Filipović. Gunnar Prokop
Gunnar Prokop (born 11 July 1940) is a former Austrian handball and track and field, athletics coach. He has previously been both president and coach for the handball club Hypo Niederösterreich. He is widely considered one of the best women's handball coaches of all time, but has been involved in controversy due to cheating as a coach and misogynistic remarks. Career Athletics Prokop started his career as an track and field coach at the 1964 Olympics in Tokyo, where he was the coach for Liese Sykora, who competed in Modern pentathlon, pentathlon. They married a year later in 1965. At the 1968 Olympics Liese Sykora-Prokop won a silver medal in the pentathlon, something Prokop has described as one of his best achievements. Luke Prokop
Luke Prokop (born May 6, 2002) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman for the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League as a prospect for the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League (NHL), who selected him in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. In 2021, Prokop came out as gay, becoming the first player under contract with an NHL team to do so. Playing career Prokop is from Edmonton, Alberta. He became a fan of Shea Weber, a right-handed defenceman, when he watched Weber playing ice hockey at the 2010 Winter Olympics for the Canadian men's national ice hockey team. Ronald Harry "Skip" Prokop (December 13, 1943 – August 30, 2017) was a Canadian drummer, guitarist and keyboardist. He was also a band leader, was a founding member of the Canadian rock music groups the Paupers and Lighthouse. Early life Prokop was born in Hamilton, Ontario. He attended G.L. Armstrong elementary and Hill Park secondary schools. Prokop The Great
Prokop the Great (, ) or Prokop the Bald or the Shaven (, ) (c. 1380 – 30 May 1434) was a Czech Hussite general and a prominent Taborite military leader during the Hussite Wars. On his mother's side, he came from a German patrician family living in Prague. Initially, Prokop was a member of the Utraquists (the moderate wing of the Hussites) and was a married priest (having received the tonsure early in life) who belonged to an eminent, partly German-speaking family from Prague. He studied in Prague, and then traveled for several years in foreign countries. On his return to Bohemia, though a priest and continuing to officiate as such, he became the most prominent leader of the advanced Hussite or Taborite forces during the latter part of the Hussite Wars. John Prokop (born May 13, 2001) is an American professional ice hockey defenceman for the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League (NHL). Liesel "Liese" Prokop-Sykora (27 March 1941 – 31 December 2006) was an Austrian athlete and, later in her life, a politician. She competed mainly in the pentathlon. Biography Born as Liese Sykora in Tulln District, Lower Austria, on 27 March 1941, she graduated from the University of Vienna with a degree in biology and sport.
