Project Regeneration Vol. 2
''Project: Regeneration Vol. 2'' is the eighth studio album by American industrial metal band Static-X. It features 14 tracks, with some of the final material written and recorded by the late vocalist Wayne Static. It was slated to release on November 3, 2023, but was eventually announced to be pushed back to January 26, 2024, nearly ten years after Static's death. The album was announced with the first single "Terrible Lie", a cover of the Nine Inch Nails song from ''Pretty Hate Machine'', on February 8, 2023. The second single, "Stay Alive", was released on September 7. Background and recording The album features vocal recordings and synthesizer programming by the late frontman Wayne Static that were discovered after he passed away in November 2014 after an accidental drug and alcohol overdose. Static-X is an American heavy metal band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1994. The line-up has fluctuated over the years, but was long-held constant with band founder, frontman, lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Wayne Static until his death in 2014. The band was founded by Wayne Static and original drummer Ken Jay. They rose to fame with their 1999 debut album ''Wisconsin Death Trip'' where their heavy industrial metal sound attracted attention within the burgeoning nu metal movement of the late 1990s, with the album eventually going platinum in the United States. Tony Campos
Antonio Campos (born March 8, 1973) is an American musician. He is the current bassist for industrial metal bands Static-X and Fear Factory and the vocalist and bassist for Asesino. He is a former bassist for metal bands Prong, Soulfly, Ministry and Possessed. Career Campos was part of the original Static-X lineup, playing bass and performing backing vocals on all of the group's studio albums. Along with Wayne Static, he was one of the legal owners of the Static-X name, even though he did not participate in the band's temporary reunion from 2012–2013. In 2001, Campos broke his collarbone in a motorcycle accident, leaving him unable to play in the ongoing "Extreme Steel Tour". Campos continued to sing backing vocals on the tour, and Marty O'Brien took over bass duties. In 2002, Campos became part of Mexican American metal group Asesino. Derrick Tribbett (born December 18, 1984), better known by his stage names Tripp Lee and Sinister, is an American musician and songwriter who is the lead vocalist of Heavy metal music, heavy metal band Twisted Method. He is the younger brother of Audiotopsy (band), Audiotopsy and Mudvayne lead guitarist Greg Tribbett. Mastering, a form of audio post production, is the process of preparing and transferring recorded audio from a source containing the final mix to a data storage device (the master), the source from which all copies will be produced (via methods such as pressing, duplication or replication). Kenneth "Ken Jay" Lacey (born June 10, 1966) is an American musician, best known as the original drummer for industrial metal band Static-X. Biography Jay was born in Vermilion County, Illinois. Jay began playing drums early on and had played drums in a couple of metal bands early in his career in central Illinois before heading north to Chicago. Jay was the drummer in Deep Blue Dream, a band that also included Wayne Static and had auditioned at one point for Smashing Pumpkins but was told by Billy Corgan he was "too metal" to be in the band. He co-founded Static-X with Wayne Static in 1994. Koichi Fukuda
Koichi Fukuda (born July 1, 1975) is a Japanese musician, best known as the lead guitarist, programmer, and keyboardist for the metal band Static-X; he has been a member of the band three times, initially from 1994 to 2000, again from 2005 to 2010 and since 2018. He was also the former lead guitarist of the bands Drugstore Fanatics and Bellusira.
