The sculptors or "Ymageurs", Bastien and Henry Prigent ran a workshop (atelier) in Landerneau, Brittany, France from 1527 to 1577 and records show that at least fifty parishes passed orders to them, these parishes spread across the dioceses of Léon, Landes, Léon and Cornouaille plus of course Plougonven in Trégor. The atelier is known for the work on the monumental calvaries of Pleyben and Plougonven, on the porches at Pencran, Landivisiau, Guipavas and Lampaul-Guimiliau, several crosses and smaller calvaries and a gisant. Denez Prigent (; born 17 February 1966 in Santec, Finistère) is a Breton people, Breton folk music, folk singer-songwriter of the ''gwerz'' and ''kan ha diskan'' styles of Music of Brittany, Breton music. From his debut at the age of 16, he was known for singing traditional songs ''a cappella'', and has moved on to singing his own songs with techno music accompaniments. François Marie Tanguy Prigent (; 11 October 1909 – 20 January 1970) was a French Socialist politician who became a resistance fighter during World War II (1939–45). He was Minister of Agriculture from September 1944 to October 1947 and was Minister of Veterans and War Victims from February 1956 to June 1957. Early years François Tanguy-Prigent was born to a farming family on 11 October 1909 in the small town of Saint-Jean-du-Doigt, in the Finistère department of Brittany. He worked on the land from the age of 12 to 26, when he was elected to the legislature. He joined the French Section of the Workers' International (SFIO) in 1926. He undertook his military service in Paris in 1930–31, and on return became an active SFIO militant.
