Itaúnas River
The Itaúnas River () is a river of Espírito Santo state in eastern Brazil. The Itaúnas State Park, created in 1991, is named after the Itaúnas River, which runs through the park for . The river approaches the coast at the settlement of Itaúnas and then runs southwest, parallel to the coast behind a sand bar, before entering the Atlantic Ocean to the north of Conceição da Barra. Espírito Santo (; ) is a state in southeastern Brazil. Its capital is Vitória, and its largest city is Serra. Rio Preto National Forest
The Rio Preto National Forest () is a national forest in the state of Espírito Santo, Brazil. Location The Rio Preto National Forest is in the Conceição da Barra municipality of the state of Espírito Santo. It is from the seat of the municipality. It contains fragments of the Atlantic Forest and covers . It was created by decree nº 98.845 of 17 January 1990. It became part of the Central Atlantic Forest Ecological Corridor, created in 2002. It is administered by the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio). The forest contains dense tropical lowland rainforest. 338 species of arboreal plants have been identified. The forest has been affected by forest fires and selective logging, and contains of the exotic Eucalyptus citriodora.
