Premium Plaza, Ndola
Premium Plaza is the largest residential flats building in Zambia owned by the Zambia States Insurance Corporation (ZSIC). With 10 floors above the ground, the building is situated in Kansenshi, Ndola at the corner of Kwacha and Chela roads. The ground floor is a shopping complex with assorted shops and offices. The building comprises 108 flats and 18 shops. Controversies In May 2022, it was announced that the building is going on auction sale with a reserve price of ZMW 55 million. Ndola
Ndola is the third largest city in Zambia in terms of size and population, with a population of 627,503 (''2022 census''), after the capital, Lusaka, and Kitwe, and the second largest in terms of infrastructure development after Lusaka. Zambian Kwacha
The Kwacha (ISO 4217 code: ZMW) is the currency of Zambia. It is subdivided into 100 ngwee. Etymology The name ''kwacha'' derives from the Nyanja, Bemba, and Tonga language word for "dawn", alluding to the Zambian nationalist slogan of a "new dawn of freedom". The name ''ngwee'' translates as "bright" in the Nyanja language. Hakainde Hichilema
Hakainde Hichilema (born 4 June 1962), often known by his initials HH, is a Zambian businessman, farmer, and politician who is the seventh and current president of Zambia since 24 August 2021. After having contested five previous elections in 2006, 2008, 2011, 2015 and 2016, he won the 2021 presidential election with 59.02% of the vote. He has led the United Party for National Development since 2006 following the death of the party founder Anderson Mazoka. Prior to his election, Hichilema was a major opponent of Edgar Lungu, the president of Zambia from 2015 to 2021.
