Horea, Alba
Horea (formerly ''Arada''; ; ) is a Commune in Romania, commune located in Alba County, Transylvania, Romania. It has a population of 1,774 as of 2021, and is made up of fifteen villages: Baba, Butești, Dârlești, Fericet, Giurgiuț, Horea, Măncești, Mătișești, Niculești, Pătrușești, Petreasa, Preluca, Teiu, Trifești, and Zânzești. The commune is named after Vasile Ursu Nicola, commonly known as Horea, who was born in 1731 in the village of Arada (now Horea), on Fericet Hill, and who led in 1784 the two-month-long peasant rebellion known as the Revolt of Horea, Cloșca and Crișan. Horea commune belongs to the Țara Moților ethnogeographical region. It is nestled within the Apuseni Mountains, between the Bihor Mountains to the west and to the east. Part of the Apuseni Natural Park lies on the administrative territory of the commune. Scărișoara () is a Commune in Romania, commune located in Alba County, Transylvania, Romania. It is composed of fourteen villages: Bârlești, Botești (''Botesbánya''), Fața-Lăzești, Florești, Lăzești (''Lezest''), Lespezea, Maței, Negești, Preluca, Runc, Scărișoara, Sfoartea, Știuleți, and Trâncești. Geography The commune is situated in the Țara Moților ethnogeographical region of the Apuseni Mountains, at the foot of the Bihor Mountains, Bihor Massif. Most of the component villages lie at an altitude of over , with Preluca at and Runc at . The surface area is , with about 75% forested land and 20% agricultural land. Pângărați
Pângărați is a commune in Neamț County, Western Moldavia, Romania. It is composed of six villages: Oanțu, Pângărați, Pângărăcior, Poiana, Preluca, and Stejaru. The commune is located in the central-western part of the county, in an area delimited by the southern slopes of the and the northern slopes of the Tarcău Mountains. The mountains are separated by the river Bistrița, to which converge on the left the tributaries Stejaru, Pângărați, and Pângărăcior and on the right the river Oanțu. Along the Bistrița valley there are two anthropic lakes: the and, partially, the .
