Prag Cine Awards 2014
The Prag Cine Awards 2014 ceremony, presented by the Prag Network, honored the actors, technical achievements, and films Central Board of Film Certification, censored in 2013 from Assam and took place on 22 March 2014, at the Koramangala Indoor Stadium in Bangalore, India. Actors duos Kopil Bora and Zerifa Wahid hosted the show. Veteran litterateur Arun Sharma (dramatist), Arun Sharma, Kannada film director Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar and Bollywood film actress Mahima Chaudhary inaugurated the event. Actor Mridula Barua was honoured with the lifetime Achievement Award for her contribution towards the Assamese film Industry. Actor Adil Hussain received best actor award for ''Raag (film), Raag'' and the best actress award has gone to Jaya Seal, Jaya Seal Ghose for ''Sringkhal''. Rupam Bhuyan (born 6 March 1980) is an Indian playback singer from Assam. He is the frontman of the Indian fusion band ''North East Breeze''. He is the lead vocalist of the band Tunetellers. Anurag Saikia (born in December 1988) is an Indian film score composer, music director, music producer and instrumentalist from Moran, Assam, India. He is one of the youngest composers to be awarded Rajat Kamal for Best Non-Feature Film Music Direction for the film ''Yugadrashta''. Kenny Deori Basumatary is an Indian actor and film director. He has appeared in Hindi cinema, Hindi and Assamese cinema, Assamese films as an actor, and as director in Assamese Cinema, Assamese films. He is popularly known for directing the Assamese martial arts comedy film Local Kung Fu and its sequel, which he also starred in.
